All Transmog requirements should just go away

Look at the transmogs in the shop for real money. Do they look plate? No. Yet plate wearers can wear them. Do they look mail? No, but yet mail wearers can wear them.

It’s time to get done with the days of limited transmogs. And after stuff isn’t current, why even class lock anymore? It isn’t actually wearing the tier sets, so they can’t my Druid wear a Rogue set if I want? Or a Hunter set for that matter?

The game has so much wonderful things to collect, and freedom of wardrobe should be a thing. Would also give more variety so all Druids don’t look the same. So classes that got added later (Monk, DH etc) get more transmog options.

Just open up the mogging and stop forcing us to mog X weapons too - I hate it when my limits on my weapon choices are based on what’s equipped.

Yea!

You should be able to wear all armor types your class can wear!

Not even hunters want to wear hunter sets.

I’m in agreement, I have a nice purple mail shirt on my blood elf paladin from back when paladins started out in mail and graduated to plate, but because it’s mail and she’s now supposed to always wear plate, I don’t have the appearance!

IMHO: Blizzard should make it a reward for casual/solo content. Those who do a long grind, say a rep to Exalted, can buy a slot to transmog any armor type into. They can then repeat a feat of about equal length to unlock more until they have all slots unlocked and can wear anything they like.

We’re long past time where classes had “iconic” looks… hell, I barely even notice the equipment of the guy I’m attacking, just the color of his healthbar tells me his class and that’s all I care about… and there’s already so many ways to appear lightly armored as a fighter.

While we’re at it, make transmog appearances unlock regardless of what class you’re on. I’d love it if we the old roll system with the Need/Greed/Disenchant box came with a ‘roll for transmog’ button (I know that’d more or less constitute as Greed, but having it rule people out who have the appearance already could help streamline the process).

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen pieces I’ve wanted drop the one time I decide to run on the character that can’t equip it.

I much rather see limited loosen of the transmogs. Plate should be able to wear mail. Mail can wear Leather. Some class specific armor like Priest and Paladins can wear between another.

Just because something has freedom to be transmog to all armor types doesn’t mean we should just outright demand we wear what we want. There’s so very few of these things and people hardly ever bother transmog into them anyways. How long ago has it you seen a whole group of Spirit Darter players together or in a single area? Same with that Celestial Observer set? Its hardly justification at this point but I do want to see some restrictions lifted at least, where it makes sense.

Another is allowing weapons be used across all classes (Even though still restricted by stats but allow w/e we wanna transmog).

At least let me mog leather…

a DH dual wield Benediction whilst nuking a Priest, just to rub it in

There are so many classes I don’t play because of the very limited transmog.

No.

That would further ruin the class fantasy, further homogenize the looks of classes and it does not make sense within the game’s framing.

This is not a dress-up or single-player or sandbox game.

All transmogs of any armor type should be open to all classes regardless of what their main armor type is along with finally allowing ALL (including grey) items to be transmogged unless there truly are animation problems involved …

All transmogs should be usable in either body type version on either actual body type.

Want a body type 1 tank Warrior in a body type 2 cooking outfit that uses a frying pan as melee weapon along with a off-hand held fish as his shield? Go for it … Want a body type 2 mage in a fully covering body type 1 plate armor set? Go for that instead …

Preferably all classes also should be able to add any item skin to their transmog collection via a right click (and soulbinding where needed) even if the character can not normally wear the item due to those (outdated) armor restrictions.

They should definitely be loosened, but you should still be able to use what you’re mogging and class restrictions still need to be a thing.

One vote for do nothing. There’s got to be something in this stupid game we can stop complaining about.

earthshatter legguards is mail right

but it looks like a dress

and that was vanilla

excuses to keep xmog restrictions r so bad

It looks like a dress with chains actually embedded in it. It mostly looks like a horrible texture that belongs in 1995. Oops, I’m thinking Ten Storms.

We don’t need excuses to keep transmogs bad, they are already there. But the time to upgrade them is time better spent, say, releasing the improved forms in a later dungeon like Tomb of Sargeras with better textures.

It’s always better to fix the next transmog problem rather than the preceding problem.

I saw title, hit upvote. 100% agreed!

If you want to keep your class fantasy strong and alive, keep your mogs that way.

Also lol yeti suit

Relax the restrictions, but I’m not a fan of the “everything moggable by everyone” hot take.
