Everybody and his brother wants “Classic, just like before…EXCEPT ONE THING that really needs to be added”.
The problem is, that ONE THING is different for each player. I have seen hundreds of posts like this one: give us Classic PLUS one thing.
What can Blizzard do, with hundreds of DIFFERENT requests? Just say no.
You don’t get to design the game YOU want. Play Classic, or don’t.
To me, the absolute most important reason to resist any and all change is to keep the door closed against future meddling by devs. They need to understand that authenticity is more important than anything else and that any attempts to deviate that will be met with widespread and sometimes irrational resistance.
Like with the corpses. I totally understand why Blizz doesn’t want too many corpses littering the ground. But at the same time I want them to get backlash for it anyway to remind them that every little deviation is going to be fought against.
And when they proactively change things to maintain authenticity, like breaking the ClassicLFG mod, they should get praise.
No…jesus why does everyone want to modify classic? The whole point of playing classic is to keep it as classic, not retail.
I feel like we need a rolled up newspaper to swing every time someone asks for a change like this.

As much as I see the benefit of it, I would vote no since it wasn’t in the original. Yes, it takes extra time to do things w/o a GB, but there are unintended consequences to providing additional things like this, not the least of which is “Should we then open this discussion up to N other similar things?” and “Why isn’t my favorite thing X included in this list?”
So this is one thing I think people are not considering that is a major positive to having a guild bank, and that’s for accounting.
Guild exploitation is actually a major problem in general most guilds face if you don’t have a transparent version of exchanging of goods it’s very easy for someone to skim off the top.
It’s not like most guilds have someone auditing their good or creating large excel sheets of incoming, and outgoing goods, services, and money.
I think I remember there being an addon that scanned the character’s bank and bags and uploaded it to a guild website, for purposes of transparency in guild banks. I don’t remember if it was in Classic and I don’t know if the addon will work now, with all the changes to allowed addons now.

It’s honestly the only change i’d like to see, but only because I run my own guilds with just my characters in them (and 1 friend to help me do the organization) and it makes it sooooo much easier to move mats around. Once I get a few characters going I’ll simply need to make a bank alt, so it isn’t that big of an issue.
No to guild banks in classic.
The guild master or designated guild bank manager can always create another toon to store stuff for the guild. The perks are that you get dibs on the mats and items because most of the guild members won’t even know what’s in the bank. lol
