It’s part of the reason I bump kosmas up so high, is if you send a bunch out on an easy mission, they can actually come back healthier than before.
This inspired pseudo phone game from Blizzzard works as planned.
I’m confused about this. Molako has a 2 cooldown ability which hits in a vertical line. Good for targeting those hiding behind a tank. Doesnt seem all that bad.
Problem is that her ability has a FOUR round cooldown to hit ranged. Just seems way too exhaustively long.
The disparity between the troops is confusing to me.
Why not have 1 of each type for all 4 Covenants?
Tank, heal and dps.
The companions are a wild mess of unbalanced skills.
Venthyr was balanced around having Draven which shows how poorly thought out it was.
Night Fae had two(?) nerfs to generic troops and still has the best troops imo. Also Dreamweaver and Niya have top tier damage buffs for allies. Te’zan is another crazy DPS with his frontline attack along with that ranged guy from Torghast. Partner either with Dreamweaver for some of the highest damage you can do.
Necrolords has god tier companions and their ranged troops doing insane damage if you can protect them. Plaguey is on a whole other level and Emeni is extremely potent. Solid tanks and DPS all around. Oh yeah, and another healer who heals all adjacent allies.
Kyrian has already been covered, but man does Ispiron suck. The troops are nothing to write home about either.
One small change would be showing who the enemy skills are targeting in the default UI. Not sure if any addons do that accurately. Would make planning 1000% easier.
Venture Planner does this. Venture Planner feels like the finished ui that blizzard was supposed to have, and disabling it makes the table feel extremely unfinished.
My issue with Molako is the positioning. Because his attack is a vertical line, you need to place him in very inconvenient spots to hit troops that are behind tanks. You’re usually stuck between putting him in a good position where he is directly in fire, or in a bad position where his two-hit only hits one mob anyway.
Halaa does good damage and will hit everything behind the tank regardless. And she doesn’t take up one of the two ranged slots, so you can use a much better ranged than Molako in Teliah or Apolon. Yeah, her ability has a long cooldown, but at least it hits decently.
i wanna add this because i really dont understand why ppl are trashing on Ispiron. he is S tier and here is the reason you put im on the place that get the most dmg and you add behind him mikanikos and he wont get any dmg at all for 3 turn easy your team get free dmg for a good while with him taking the hit. i win mission wayyyy higher lvl than my champion with this strat.
But that doesn’t make Ispiron good, it makes Mikanikos good.
Every good setup is dependent upon having mikanikos in it, and he can only do one mission at a time. Many of the trash tier buddies become better when you add mikanikos, that doesnt make them good.
I would rather have several medium powered buddies, than one super-OP buddy and a bunch of trash ones that are useless on their own.

Do Venthyr next! <3
I dont have any venthyr characters, I have one night fae alt I never play.
There’s a table in this expansion?
Sad…
Don’t worry, this exp is super alt friendly…
I might make a tier list for Necrolords after sending my followers into 1.5k exp missions, but I will give one thing about my own tier list.
Plaguey will pretty much have his own tier, as a very top beyond S tier.
Yes, he’s just that OP.
I have heard legends whispered on the winds of Bastion about Plaguey…
Yes, please. I have a 75K XP bomb to drop on one, and I’d like to do it on the “most bestest” one.
Not a tier list but I got several venthyr to 60 and I think some of the best are: draven, theotar, nadjia, which can be expected as soulbind, then stonehuck which is almost as good as theotar and has similar effects, rahel, lost sybille are also not bad, in general, when I try to complete hard missions, the ones most often successful are these, which tend to have high power, except draven which has a very good defensive ability, and ofc kaletar is also a great healer since its tooltip is wrong and it actually heals for that amount each round and not every 5 rounds.
Also of the new ones I like “the artiste”, forgot the name before that, the one that increases the damage of adjacent allies by 60%, if accompanied by allies with less current hp than him-her (don’t pay attention to gender) he can be very effective.
Venthyrs don’t have any useless followers like ispirons as far as I see, even the ones that are a bit meh like bogdan have nice hp to compensate, stonehead is a tank with a lot of hp that can’t heal himself but does some nice aoe damage, dug has less hp but heals every round, so has easily more effective health than him but less damage, and steadyhands, a new tank, has pretty good hp, probably stonehead level and also heals and damages an average between the 2, so not that bad.
Venthyr is nowhere nearly as OP as the Necrolords, but it is very odd how Simone and Thela have the exact same health and base attack at the same level, and their special ability does the exact same thing, only Simone’s ability does much more damage. Also, Stonehuck’s ability and base attack is much stronger than Vulca’s, so she ends up being a trash tier version of him.
It is like no one sat down to think about balancing their strengths and weaknesses.
Thanks for the list!
Whoa, Blizzard actually took my suggestion. Cromas the Mystic is a combination of Sika and Telethekas. One actually good troop instead of two mediocre ones. Granted, he only boosts one troop and not all of them like Sika, but a heal mixed with a power boost is nice.
