NM here as well, I’ll have to try that hotspot, so that being said after you log on using hotspot does the game continue to give problems if you switch back to the ISP?

For all of you, I called Comcast and told them about what’s going on and they tried to insist that it was my PC. Don’t let them do the same stuff to you. Tell them that it’s their issue, the game had been running fine till they did whatever they did, and for the love of god, don’t let them try and sell you on anything.

Got my game to finally update to the proper client version. I’m in FL - not NM - and, while I do have Comcast, I could successfully log in to and play WoW on two of my other PCs. I tried almost everything in this thread (outside of formatting) plus found Game Install Stuck on Initializing - #3 by Angelluus-frostmourne which suggested Steam and/or Disc may cause issues with the game properly updating.
So… what finally did it for me was: Uninstall WoW > Logout and fully exit Bnet > Kill all Steam and Disc processes > Connect to hotspot (not sure if necessary but I wanted to leave Comcast out of it) > Launch and log in to Bnet > Start WoW install.
Note on the above, I was only on the hotspot during the initialization and beginning of the WoW install. I paused the download and switched back over to Comcast as soon as the initialization completed and the game actually started downloading; once it was “playable” I was able to get in to the character select screen. Again, not sure if this was necessary but wanted to leave Comcast out of it (VPN may also work here but dunno).

100% fixed in New Mexico - used vpn set to Denver downloaded no problems
Can I ask what VPN you used? If you did the free trial thing like the blue post above mentioned?
my guild leader sent me a link to atlas vpn. But i second what other dude said atlas is free to get past the weird geography thing (i set it to think i’m in los angeles), and then once it started downloading i turned off the vpn but it kept working. I’m now updated to the most recent version - no more “incompatible!” unfortunately since i uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times i need to redownload all the addons and ish.

Finally in guys!!! I did nothing diffrent…DL the game initialization took over 30 min but finally updated to the correct version. HOPEFULLY you guys have the same luck!!!
Hello I am having the same problem. But I am in Alaska and on GCI for internet. I have uninstalled battle and wow multiple times. Stopped all processes with no change. I also have other games on battle net that are saying waiting for another update to finish.
I just ate and now I want Dion’s again…

Green Chile, obvious answer is yes, though on the salads hmm, not sure, I do regualar ranch and save the green chile ranch for pizza crust, 12/10 combo

Tried the hotspot, didn’t take. However, tried the VPN and set myself in Seattle and its started downloading. I’ll let y’all know when I get in and if I can play without any issues. Green all the way!
