I’ve never seen this once in all my years playing WoW. All the servers show up as red and say incompatible. Here’s the issue. I was playing just earlier that afternoon.
Internet connection? Stable.
Incorrect Specs? Wrong.
Reinstall WoW? Okay.
Nothing else really available to me to do. Frustrated and disappointed. I know these things take time and whole teams are working 24/7 on these issues, just sad about it…
Mods have responded and as far as I can tell 505 folks giving Comcast the what for is about the only thing that might fix this… that or Tuesday (we pray).

Same for my wife and I. Performed all Blizzard recommended tasks to get realms reset. nothing worked. Tried to use Blizzard Support. They ask for a error code or number I do not have and do not know how to get (I am not tech savvy)
So how you get one of those error codes is try logging in. If It won’t let you something like Bliz123456 will pop up, generally I just write them down.
I’m glad to hear i’m not alone at least.
I have same issue. Uninstalled Battle.net twice and WoW retail twice. Scan and repair multiple times. All servers still show up red and incompatible.
Same here, same problems. Tried many ‘fixes’ only to have none of them work so not sure what to do.
uninstalled everything, now I cant download Battle net app stuck on ‘Downloading new files’ tried everything on the net for a fix.
I renamed cache, interface, and WTF files. Reloaded. Nothing.
Same thing is happening to me. I have tried everything that is recommended repeatedly and nothing has worked. Please fix this Blizzard

I’m having the same problem. Reinstalled, rebooted and nothing takes the issue away.
Same problem still no blue post…
Back to bump my own post from 14 hours ago. Same problem… still.
When you guys reinstall Bnet, make sure you’re wiping any residual folders left behind that might interfere with the next time you try to reinstall the client and game.
The folders are usually:
%ProgramData%\Battle.net
%LocalAppData%\Battle.net
%AppData%\Battle.net
(you can copy paste those locations, the %% stuff are direct link shortcuts, without having to input user names in the line)
After uninstalling and deleting those folders, reboot your PC. EDIT: Oh and in case you get permission errors due to bnet currently running, either kill all bnet processes in your task manager or reboot your PC first, then delete those folders and continue.
Try that first and if that fails to make the WoW client update, you’ll need to uninstall WoW, delete the whole folder to make sure there are no leftover remnants, then reinstall. Make sure to back up your interface
and WTF
folders so that you don’t lose all your settings and addons.

In my case, I only needed to restart the Battle.net app and the World of Warcraft launcher and this incompatibility problem disappeared. This error from what I understand is that the launcher version of the game is in a different version than the servers, that’s why the incompatibility.
Yeah, usually that’s all you need to do. The incompatible realm thing, within WoW, just means that you need to update the client. However, sometimes the bnet launcher bugs out and people can’t update the game. Even after they close out of the launcher and make sure it’s not still running in the background. So for them, they have to take more drastic measures.
But part of the issues is on Blizzard’s end though. The Bnet launcher usually takes 5-20 seconds to actually fully close down in the task manager. So if you reopen it before then, it might bug out or something. Most people don’t know to wait 30 seconds before reopening the launcher, so their issue ends up persisting. That’s why the blues will usually tell you to just restart the PC.

Done it all still no resolution #bump
#rebump for attention to the issue
Yep, tried those and really thank you for the reminder advice! I took a few to try what was listed, reinstalled again, after making sure everything was cleared out and I’m still stuck at the same issue.
According to my friends I should be on version 10.0.7.48865 of the game, but I’m forever stuck at 10.0.7.48838. Now I did the usual, repair (It told me everything was good) Then I did check for updates (It said there were no updates) so I uninstalled BNet Launcher, made sure all of those folders were gone and done. Re-downloaded, same issues even after a reboot.
I likewise did the same with my game. Uninstalled it after backing up my WTF folder etc onto my external, likewise then made sure there were no traces left of it on my HD before reinstalling and again, same problem. I’ve also cleared my cache, and a few other things that were suggested to see if that helped and sadly, after two days, I’m still stuck on the same issue.
Hey everyone,
We are currently tracking the issue with the red/incompatible realms. It looks like all players are in the same area (New Mexico) and using Comcast as their ISP. At this time, we do recommend reaching out to Comcast to see if there is anything going on. Alternately you can try using a Hotspot or VPN to connect, Please note that we do not assist in setting this up nor choosing one to use. In the case of the VPN there are several that offer free trials, these are typically data capped but should be enough to test the issue. With a tethered or mobile hotspot connection you will need to reach out to your mobile carrier to find out if this is available for your plan and for instructions on how to do this.
If the issue continues after that as Orlyia mentioned please submit a ticket to our technical support team. Please include system files and a WINMTR.
