Hi, I re-subbed after being gone for a year. On my way in, I detached my old authenticator too.
My bags were empty, but I found piles of stuff in the mailbox nearby.
Is the stuff in my mailbox just from my bags due to detaching authenticator? (losing the 4 extra backpack slots)
Or will everything from all my banks be in here too?
(My vision is super extra bad, and my characters all seem to be parked at unfamiliar embassy spots instead of easy garrison, ironforge, or org front gate area I was used to. Hoping it’s just the handful of bag slots to accommodate on characters, and not dozens of banks to repopulate in the few weeks before mailboxes delete things…)
Probably not due to removing the authenticator, as it’s only 4 slots, not 4 bag slots.
Did you happen to boost the character?

There are 2 types of character boost. One boosts your level, the other your gear. Taking either replaces your bags and gear, all of which are sent to your mailbox.

Yes, I clicked the gear upgrade, specialization, keep quests bit and my bags were empty except for the gear pack to open for new weapons. So gear upgrade was probably it. On second look, it is just bag stuff that went to the mailbox, not all my banks or anything else. Spare hearthstone was the item throwing error message since I had a hearthstone in my bag already. :astly, even with locked backpack slots now, I had empty slots to spare. Was just a stack of the letters and hearthstone left in my mailbox.
(Purchasing Epic Dragonflight pack was the other thing I did, and I see special hearthstone effect as something included in that. Not sure if it needs a different hearthstone item, or if there’s a way to toggle hearthstone effects on one hearthstone. Could be this hearthstone in my bag is new one, and old one is the one stuck in mail. Or just hearthstone auto-issued like a lost hearthstone, and other one in mail for fun.)
And slava Ukraini battle pet… haha… relieved I just need to zip through and ‘open all’ and not repopulate banks…!
