We could finally fly from EK to Kalimador. Pandaria to Northrend. Broken Isle to Zandalar. Kul Tiras to Dragon isles.

this is not technically feasible. the continents/expansions are all on seperate instances so they can’t be merged. there’s a reason there’s a portal between ghostlands and eastern plaguelands.

they’d have to essentially remake the game for this to be possible, it would be a bigger undertaking than the cata revamp

in the sense of ‘could they physically render that distance to allow unbroken flight in a single unbroken world.’
they still wouldn’t do it. because the distance between the continents is… well… the distance between the continents…
lets be generous and use the INSANE flight times (or insanely compressed planet) that we currently have with cataclysm. it would still take at least an hour or more to fly from the closest part of the continents to panderia, even longer to the eye of the maelstrom (assuming you could get there)
so while they -could- do it they would still need to include fast travel. (because they aren’t going to force players to spend days on end traveling between continents) and then, even if they -did- introduce those hours of empty ocean, how many times would you actually take that treck instead of the fast travel? it just makes no sense for them to bother with the effort.

I think wow would literally explode trying to load a world space that large given how old its engine is.

it can’t work anyways because the expansions are seperated.
Just because Blizzard hates blood elves doesn’t mean everyone has to suffer.
Silver moon can remain ignored and blizzard can just merge the other stuff. 
I dunno man, they still can’t figure out how to give each race more than 1 dance.

That would be a lot of resources to accomplish nothing really. It would be a novelty to fly that distance once or twice, and a pain to do it thereafter.

I was going to say, big ask when we have single continents that aren’t even a single entity lol.
The world map is like a patchwork quilt.
Also not even sure what OP expects to achieve from it, there are a whole bunch of technical limitations and no real pay off even if they were to try.
It can work if you think outside of the box.
