Heh, blizz serms hell bent on not doing exactly that.
I wonder when they will wake up and start trying to repair the damage.

Blizzard $500 and Iâll get this done for you ASAP*
*Blizzard ASAP that is, so by like 2027
Blizzard seems to do things in a cautious slow way as far as making changes even small ones because players are very diverse in what they want and donât want in the game. They also know from experience that some players are the types of people that welcome change in the game. The more change and the greater, the better. To them change opens up new and exciting realms of game-play.
On the other hand some players are resistant to any change. To these players change is anathema. Something to be avoided. They donât want the status quo imbalanced. To them any new change threatens there comfort level in the game.
The median are the players who just want to play an entertaining game. They really donât care about change one way or another as long as they are having fun.
So Blizzard appears to proceed in a cautious way to avoid negative outcries of outrage from the fan-base, regarding making changes to the game. At least in theory. Because in the past Blizzard has made some very strange game-play change decisions. So go figure?
Have they ever said they are giving you player housing?
Did they mention the BR mode at all?
If those are your examples of âlyingâ you have a poor concept of what a âlieâ is.
And considering theyâve already given us Priests, Rogues, and Warlocks, Iâd say they have a pretty good track record of not lying on this subject.
Those things take work, they would need to create forms for the races who donât have any, and totems for those races also. Because if they did this and didnât create those things, then everyone would go wild on them for cutting corners.
Probably just them thinking they donât need to have every race have every class playable? I certainly donât think every race needs to have every class.
I think this was revealed to be a lie when, as a Pandaren, you could use the Orb of Deception and it would sometimes make you Worgen, and if you were a monk, you had those animations.
It may be the case that Worgen had monk animations prior to having access to the monk class, but that does not mean that all races have animations for all classes (evokers, demon hunters)
paladinâs probably coming in s4
Exactly this.
Iâm ok waiting a little longer to get something unique and maybe they will attempt to explain how these races can be new classes. Iâm not holding my breath on the second part, but we will see.
Well, not necessarily. But it does strongly point to them not needing to do as much as they say. I donât even know if it was them officially saying it or not, I just know a bunch of âno no no because that takes effortâ people said that Worgen bodies were different and making the animations would be way too much work. But they at least were lying because the animations were always there.
Worgen having monk animations already was easy to predict as they had several classes with fist weapons.
Youâre not getting evokers for all races without serious animation work (and I doubt they could make it work well) and even DH is dubious for most races (draenei, nightborne, void elves and HM tauren have a fair basis for it however)
I guess itâs up to me and my Orb of the SinâDorei to test this.
Because the inent was never to do what you just said. But ill ask what in the lore would qualify Orcs (not from Azeroth), Dracthyr (green df maybe), or Forsaken or any other race with a non-nature traditions to all of a sudden be playable as druids? Some of the other races, ok. I see pally & priests, rogues and mages, and the more general classes being playable by all. Actually they should just implement the multiclass system like FF14 imo
Forsaken would be weird but I donât think NE druids are blocked from using darkfallen customizations even though itâs been a thing for a long time that Dark Ranger magic was a substitute for losing ranger nature magic. So thereâs obviously been some leeway even if itâs just by ignoring the lore altogether.
For dracthyr, the dream works but Iâm not a big fan of the idea of giving more classes to dracthyr unless evoker gets a tank spec, because itâs not going to be popular at all unless they slap some evoker powers as racials (which will never happen). I want a dragon tank, not âwe gave you all the tank classes which will only ever be played by 0.1% of the people who want to play dracthyr so you canât ever complain about evoker tanking ever againâ
The customization âblack eyesâ was specifically for NE to reflect the âNight Warriorâ The red eyes (if we are being honest) was strictly tied to ppls request for a Dark Ranger customization AFTER Sylvannas in game appearance was changed as well as her personal bodyguards, who sported the red eyes. That customization wasnt intended for Druid characters by any stretch of the imagination or lore. There is no cannon lore to explain that. Red eyes for Elves RP according to the lore is Dark Ranger or SanâLayn imo
As far as Dracthyr being tanks. Naw you guys are better off asking for those centaur dragons (draconid?) for melee classes and to be added imo. It would be too much work redo other armor types on a Dracthyr NOT to look like crap, clipping issues etc. much easier on the other model. But hey who knows maybe if they put an A.I. to the task they will do it, you know?
Why would I want to play flightless dragonkind there especially if I want a tank option to be on the table for the one race that has no tank options? Like what is this playerbaseâs obsession to only be interested in those (and dracthyr donât need an armor redo for an evoker tank spec, there are 3 leather tanks, literally a worse type of armor than chain or scale both in-game and irl, a tank evoker who will still be wearing either no armor or just racial armor is not a big ask)
Are there any MMOs out there that restrict classes based on race, other than WoW? I dont know, I donât play that many.
A lot of mmos donât but a lot of mmos do and usually those that do are either more old school or, like wow, have a lot of classes and races so can afford to get into specifics.
LOTRO has a lot of race/class restrictions, for example. Hell, playable drakes only having a dragon class is something Iâm pretty sure at least another game does.
no. im saying is they dont do that. just give all the currently available forms and totems to every race and make them free to swap. donât need to add anymore. just pick which one you like. the end.
