All chat channels re-enabled every time I log in

Anyone found a fix? This bug is driving me bonkers. Patch day, so fixing/altering addons requires many reloads and having to fix chat settings in multiple tabs is irritating with all the service spam.

I just left both Trade and Services until they fix this bug. Other channels like General, Local Defense, etc still get forced on in every tab unfortunately though. You can just leave whatever channels you don’t really need right now.

Same here. I’ve also tried with all addons disabled and deleted chat-cache.txt files, but the bug persists.

This is horrible bug. Can’t even switch characters without having to disable spam channels ON EVERY SINGLE CHAT TAB.

Came here to say that I’m getting this issue too. Seems to have happened after I played Plunderstorm, likely a bug caused by the patch?

Doesn’t matter. I haven’t played Plunderstorm at all and every time I log in my chat windows are full of everything, even the combat log. I can turn off trade/general/local defense but as soon as I log off and back on they’re turned back on. I disabled Services and so far that hasn’t re-enabled itself.

You can completely disable Services by clicking the red circle with the slash through it. I did that and so far Services hasn’t re-enabled itself.

I just spent the last hour going through all the results I could in Google for solutions and nothing worked and then this channel finally showed up in the results
 super annoying and makes it almost impossible to interact in the open world in major cities.
This applies to all chat windows, so get spammed in multiple places if you have multiple visible and can’t see what other around you say and as others mentioned even reapplies on reload

There’s a workaround solution on the EU forums

And it could be easily converted into a WA or the like.

You can delete the channels using the red icon at the right side of the channel pannel. It fixed the bug of it resetting and never spawning back to me.

I never realized how bad the Services channel got until I started seeing it again. You might as well rename it to the Spam channel cuz thats all it is.
