Updated the game client through the launcher and now zero of my characters are visible, and the game is behaving like I do not have an account. (Graphic for ‘free trial’ etc.)
It’s as if the game client isn’t talking to Blizzards servers to see my account information.
Edit: The launcher was set to “starter edition” for some reason. I only have one account so I wouldn’t have even touched that drop down menu.
Anyway, I’m leaving this post up just in case this happens to someone else.
Double check the account dropdown list to make sure you’re logged into the right account.
It likely switched on you.
Yup, that’s exactly what happened! Is this happening to many people? Very weird that it would switch itself, because I’ve only ever had 1 account and I do not change the account setting.

This happens quite often surprisingly. It’s usually the first thing to check.
Ha! In my defense, there was a lack of caffeine in my brain.
