Heavens no.
I never asked for high elves…nor wanted em.
I’d rather we got the broken.

Indifferent. Elves don’t really interest me, they’re just kind of there.
I’ve never understood the clamour for High Elves when they’re just BElves with blue eyes, but people sure are loud about it.
I don’t care. I never cared, and never will. I just want people to shut up about it so I can stop seeing/hearing about it.
where did you find a pic of me!? lol
People here have an elf fixation and it isn’t healthy.
No difference in Europe. AD is full of elves, which clearly shows that Void Elves should have been a Hero Class in Midnight and High Elves being playable since Legion.
Not really for me, i actually like the void part of void elves which is just kinda there now, maybe I’ll get more void one day.
Personally i wish Blizzard would remove the Blood Elf customization options off Void Elves and put more Void Options in their place.
The HEFA crowd should never been catered to in any way, shape or form because it just made them even worse than they were before.
“High Elves” have been playable since Burning Crusade. Some people just have a hard time getting over the fact they went to the Horde, which was done in an interesting way imo.
I had no real feelings for Void Elves since i just saw them as the “faction swap race” since the Horde got something similar to Night Elves in Nightborne, a little disappointed maybe since we weren’t getting actual new races, but now they can be almost indistinguishable from Blood Elves through the favoured attention in customisation over other Allied Races.
I wish they had kept the void angle and not just end up making “blood elf but Alliance” but maybe that can be possible now that its done and over with.
Not happy. High Elves and Darkfallen/San’layn should be standalone races
While I do like the non-void customizations that Void Elves have available to them, I still play Void Elves for the Void. Hopefully in Midnight we get lots of good void customization.
I think I might’ve actually liked Void Elves if, you know… Blizzard actually made Void Elves, and not just some two-dimensional cardboard cut-out of a race to fill a slot. I’ve discussed ways Void Elves could’ve been interesting, different origins that would’ve appealed far more to even the High Elf crowd (I still don’t know why Void Elves come from Blood Elves, rather than the Silver Covenant getting transformed).
Can’t say I’m happy with the way things are. I am, however, barely content. There’s still a lot missing customization wise for the High Elf fantasy to be properly immersive on the Alliance, and as for Void Elves… They need an entire expansion dedicated to them, as well as several novels and short stories. They’re just that under developed. I mean, they didn’t even exist until the last five minutes of their own recruitment scenario.
The sad thing is, they may very well get that expansion all about them; Midnight. I say sad, because that expansion is taking place in Quel’Thalas, meaning it should be 99% about the Blood Elves.
You think players kvetch and moan about Void Elves stealing from Blood Elves now? Just wait.
I am a player who enjoys Quel’dorei. Always have, and wanted them playable. I got my start in WoW back during Burning Crusades. I have played both Alliance and Horde since the beginning. I did quests for Quel’dorei NPCs. I enjoyed the stories, the look of the Silver Covenant. And as Silver was my second favorite color, favorite being Midnight Blue, It resonated with me a bit.
Void Elves upset me for two reasons, and nothing having to do with Void Elf players.
1.) The implication given by Ion and Blizzard that players didn’t ‘Actually’ Want High Elves. That statement right there is why you see so many High Elf threads around. NEVER try to tell people what they do or do not want. They will hold it against you.
2.) Blizzard cheaped out on the Void aspect of the Void Elves. There are SO MANY Cool possible customization options you could lean into with Void elves. So many interesting things that could have been done to make them unique. Instead…it’s just a grape jello mold of Sin’dorei.
With Midnight centering around the Thalassian elves I really hope that we will finally see Quel’dorei come to the Alliance. And that Void Elves get WAY more customizations. I’d also like for my Belf to get more customization. Give me some Phoenix tattoos for my girl Blizz! She’s earned them!
“The HEFA crowd” is actually the whole world. I don’t know how many languages you can speak or have family members, who are polyglots, but every single European zone, including Asia disliked the Void Elves for the Silver Covenant-replacement. It’s not just a “crowd”, you’re are outnumbered by default. That’s why they gave into this request, because they realized that the backlash was not only massive, but came from every region where they offer subscriptions.
Just let this sink in for a moment. It’s not “US people”, it’s “everyone who plays this game”.
I have no interest in high elves. If I wanted to play a high elf then I would play horde (blood elf). I want Blizz to lean into the void aspect of void elves instead of watering it down. I am very unhappy about Blizz copying blood elf customizations to void elves instead of further differentiating blood elves and void elves.
Elves are overrated AF.
What a strange statement. High Elves are only findable in the Alliance. Blood Elves are former High Elves with another political pov, who have no access to the High Elf locations anymore but their capital city.
You can’t have both, it’s either High or Blood.
The only good elf is a dead elf
Garithos taught me never to trust an elf.
Until such point as they let us play naga: I have and will continue to have a deep, burning indifference towards elves.
