It’s not like WoW changed overnight. Many of the people who are actually responsible for the gradual changes aren’t actually at Blizzard anymore. The current development team mostly came from Diablo not that long ago.

They are trying to kill Classic it looks like.

Well see the immediate counter argument is why would they kill something that brings them money, and I bet $ someone is going to reply to you with that exact comment. But the truth is they have a HUGE vested interest in making sure Classic fails.

The reason why is investors are going to start asking questions when a franchise which they have considered “problematic” and “in decline” for over 6 years now since that infamous call is suddenly able to double or triple it’s subscriber base by bringing back the old game.

They’re going to suddenly realize the people that are supposed to be making them, they, the investors money, guys like Brack, have actually screwed them out of billions by changing the game so much.

When that happens, there will be VERY high profile jobs at Blizzard on the line without question. That’s how the business works. And before you try to say I don’t know anything about business because I’m not a businessman I will tell you my experience in business doesn’t matter.

It only takes logic for one to come to the conclusion that you want to get rid of the people who lost you billions of dollars.

If you paid attention you’d know this is nothing to do with this addon, the change was made to break the layer-detection mechanic which exploiters were using to abuse layering.

I think it may have more to do with the fact that everyone is complaining about Sever/Realm imbalance. Looking at the WoWhead census and the overload (60% / 30% of faction to faction ratios), i think it is more of a method for them to avoid people seeing Servers becoming “dead” and also to stop people from seeing how imbalanced the factions are on their server.

Funny you should go there. I’d have to call my broker, but I’m pretty sure I still have some ATVI stock. That means I’m a shareholder/investor. Nobody has ever came around asking me if I want to fire anyone, lol! Heck I used to own a LOT of apple stock, especially after holding it through two splits. I had no say in that company either…

I don’t think people know how shares work. Thousands of people aren’t going to show up at blizzard’s door saying they are firing “x” people. That’s not how things work. You put money in, and hope you get money out later. I haven’t checked by I think they’re between 50-60 bucks a share. Literally anyone with 60 bucks in their bank could become a shareholder today, so long as shares are available.
