Discoveries are broken. Have crafted well into 2000 elixirs pots transmutes without a single discovery. This needs to be fixed!

I got a discovery 2 nights ago.
I’ve gotten 2 discoveries so far in about 500 pots. It does seem to be a bit off.
That sounds hard to believe considering whenever I transmuted for the first 4 or 5 times it was an automatic discover of some crappy transmute I would never use. BUT to get my first flask discover took like 6 weeks. It was getting pretty bad. Just stick with it and keep making stuff. The RNG should eventually swing back in your favor and you’ll discover a lot in a short amount of time. I feel like I had all my best procs on elixirs early on and now I get next to nothing. Pretty annoying but at least I’m not xmute spec hah.
Yeah not just having recipes was a horrible horrible horrible idea.

Not sure what the percentage is, but consider a discovery proc of 0.5%. You could make thousands and never get a discovery, it’s RNG. I made 5-800 items before my first proc. I’ve had 2 discoveries within 30 seconds of each other. Just need 1 more flask.
Good news, you should have most of your discoveries by your 100,000th created item.

I have gotten a discovery about every 100-150 crafts. Don’t buy a lottery ticket…
I average proc between 10% and 20%. I feel like I proc more when I do 10 or more at a time. Not every potion can be discovered some are dropped in dungeons. When i hit 200 badges I had all potions, Flask and Elixirs. It might have been sooner but that is when i noticed it.
I’ve run kara and SH for bracers every week since launch.
I have T2 bracers.

It would be nice if each individual herb had it’s own spawn. I think zones are by herb population. It’ll take forever for me to get to 100,000.
I’m at approx. 15,000 TBC Elixirs/Pots/Xmutes/Flasks and I still cannot discover the last flask I need. Whoever designed this system needs to go straight to jail.

Tip: Buy any Ragveil from the AH priced under 30s each and made Mad Alchemist potions and then vendor them, you can get discoveries and make all your gold back + some.
I bought 12 Ragveil stacks off the AH and finally got the Flask of Pure Death recipe. Theh first discovery I got was that garbage Super Rejuvenation Potion.
RNG does suck so no disagreement there.

However…
Considering how badly mangled the rest of TBCC has been, I would not be at all surprised if the rng engine Blizz is using is messed up in some way.
I’ve been 375 since second week and haven’t gotten any flask discoveries. This game is nothing but negative feelings. I’ve got only 3-4 2x transmute procs.
