Aiding the Accord: Suffusion Camp - impossible to complete

So Blizzard hands out a seed quest in Loamm to do the Suffusion Camp quests and loot the Secured Shipment.

Later, you amble by Valdraken and lo and behold, the weekly is also to go to a Suffusion Camp and loot the Secure Shipment. Fine and dandy EXCEPT you CAN’T loot the chest twice in the same week.

So you’re literally locked out of the weekly as a result of following Blizzards questline. Brilliant design guys… thanks a lot.

They literally just hotfixed it for Sniffenseeking from last week so that it would auto-complete if you’ve already complete it:

  • “Aiding the Accord: Sniffenseeking” will now auto-complete the dig objective if you’ve already done a dig with Myrrit this week. Players currently affected will need to abandon and re-accept the quest in Valdrakken.

Kinda wild that they didn’t think to go sort out Suffusion Camp at the same time.

That’s an entirely different quest - this is the weekly in Valdraken:

Aiding the Accord: Suffusion Camp

And it is NOT fixed by abandoning and picking up the quest again, nor does attempting to loot the chest work.

But thanks, now I’ve erased the 3000 rep I earned as well… not that Blizz will fix this or anything.

Yes, I’m aware it’s a separate quest. What I was saying is that, as devs, recognising the issue existed with Sniffenseeking, they should have looked into Suffusion Camp at the same time. But they didn’t. It speaks to a fundamental flaw in their development process.

oooh, that’s unfortunate. I’m not sure how the dig abandon/repop worked, and whether it also cleared the rep criteria because none of my chars had that issue. It may be that if they get around to hotfixing Suffusion camp, you would have had to abandon/retake the quest anyway, clearing your rep progess in the process.

In fact, you may have to abandon it once again when they get around to pushing a hotfix, so at least for the moment, my tentative suggestion would be not to bother with the rep component until such a hotfix is pushed.

So the only way is ti make sure to have BOTH quests before opening the chest?

Well the Loamm quest is just a seed quest, so I don’t think it matters if you miss it. It’s a “You should probably go see whats happening over there” kinda thing. I wouldn’t be nearly as irked if I had just missed that instead of the weekly that actually includes valuable stuff.

But like a lot of people, I wanted to move ahead with the storyline in Loamm first, and swung back to Valdraken after I had gotten the mount. Bad idea. Bad Blizzard.

Was worth a shot, appreciate the feedback.

It’s not like I want to loot the chest again, I just want credit for the fact that I already did it this week. I don’t see them fixing this tbh, but a little quality control on Blizzards part would have been nice.

If they repeat a similar hotfix to the one that they did for Sniffenseeking, they’ll be able to make it so that the act of picking up the Aiding the Accord quest checks if you have done the Suffusion event, and autocompletes credit for that portion at that point in time. That would track with why their hotfix note said that people would need to abandon, then start the quest again.

The question is just timeframe. Aiding the Accord: Sniffenseeking wasn’t hotfixed until the 8th.

IS there an addon that can take all the weekly quests from the Journal for me.

That would make my life easy.

No “Aiding the Accord” quest even shows up at all for my sub-70 alts this week…

Usually if there is a Level 70 part to it, the quest just drops that step for the sub-70 characters and they only need the 3000 rep. Not sure why there is no quest at all this week.

Just bad design.

It’s crazy to link the weekly to a non repeatable activity that they point you at from other sources. If they’re going to do something like that they need to track if you’ve done it already and credit you on the weekly as having accomplished it.

No “Aiding the Accord” quest even shows up at all for my sub-70 alts this week…

Even better. Not sure why they’ve blocked it off to 61-69 alts, would be nice to start earning crests during leveling. Feels like Blizzard developers might be a bit shorthanded lately… for some reason…

i’m guessing that since this week’s quest takes place in the new zone, they would have to have enough progress to be able to get in there

just not possible for alts under 70

They already handle that by dropping objectives that require level 70, but the part to gain 3000 rep is still there.

For example, last week, Aiding the Accord included a step to complete a Dig. For the sub-70 chars, that step was just not there, only the 3000 rep. In previous weeks, the level 70 version required opening a vault in the forbidden reach, while again the sub-70 version was just rep.

So, it seems like they can handle this, but did not for some reason this week…

Make sure you have both quest, otherwise you won’t be able to complete them, since you can’t open the chest twice a week

Simple fix: REMOVE ALL “EVENTS” FROM AIDING THE ACCORD

Make to 4000 rep instead

Bam! Fixed

FYI, received a GM response which was pretty much what was expected:

“We have heard numerous reports of this and we’re looking into it but have no resolution. Stay tuned for more inaction on our part.”

Didn’t even bother with the weekly quests, just did it because I was in the Plains when I logged in again. Went back to Valdrakken, pick up the weekly. Can’t complete it :frowning:

While it should get a hotfix, the questgivers were standing within 10 feet of one another. Why are you going out and doing stuff without picking up Aiding the Accord first anyway?

As I mentioned earlier - a lot of us were camping in Loamm to finish the campaign and get their Slitherdrake. Picking up the weekly wasn’t a top priority, finishing that campaign was. And one of the quests in Loamm was to go do Suffusion Camp. Never occurred to anyone that the weekly was locked to the same action that can’t be repeated.

That seed quest should not exist if they’re asking us to do the same thing in the weekly but it can only be done once.

Just really bad design.
