KILL HIM!
This is Warcraft after all…
Don’t go making assumptions about me just because we have a different stance on this topic, ive done more ganking than most people here, i love a good fight, but there’s a difference between actual PvP and making a nuisance of yourself killing NPC to stop the other faction from doing their auctions or handing in quests etc.
again…WAR game. NPC’s will die.
If it werent allowed, blizzard could just make them unkillable…‘problem’ solved.
and please dont brag to me about ganking lowbies. I find that cowardice.
I don’t gank lowbies, killing lowbies and NPC’s is just making a pest of yourself, i seriously can’t understand why any of you would defend this crap, have you no honor? Or is this the type of thing you enjoy… making a pest of yourself because you can’t kill equally geared/level players that are keen for a fight?
Again, poster…WAR game.
Not real sure what you expect in a WAR game.
Maybe tiddly winks or some milton Bradley game from the 70s is more your speed?
Making a pest of yourself killing the AH NPC’s isn’t war, it’s just a nuisance.
whew…one last time, then Im ignoring you for ‘pestering’ me.
its a WAR game…END of discussion
The mechanics allow this unfortunately. Back in vanilla we used to have all kinds of problems with people ganking quest givers in Crossroads. Full up city onslaughts are still possible and faction leaders are killable.
Now it is a pain and it is poor behavior IMHO.
But the usual question regarding, “Why does X happen?” spawns the usual pessimistic answer: “Because it can.”
Regarding the pessimistic answer the solution is to make all or certain city NPCs unkillable.
Clearly they allow it because the want the ‘WAR’ in this ‘war’ game.
There is nothing pessimistic about it. You are playing a WAR game.
Find another game that ISNT based on WAR if you all dont want to deal with WAR type results
Oh its a completely pessimistic answer. Providing a mechanism allowing for people to do something and then complaining when they do it is what I was getting at. If you want a solution to something like that then change the game design. It happens because it CAN happen.
As such the game is designed around conflict so this is part of it. My own personal opinion of the behavior notwithstanding.
If I choose to non participate in PvP but can’t play a game because of PvP, something is wrong.
How about forcing pvp players to farm every day herbs and ores every day for 1-2 hr before they can queue for arenas? Sounds fair
Rogues have a quest to do it so no it isn’t bannable. It’s also not bannable for me to drop four different paint spraying bots every time I’m in there
Wow! So I made a post on the realm forums about this! And then started to realize that the Alliance do the same thing to the Horde NPCs.
Personally I feel the AH should be off limits but if one side wants to do so, the other is free to retaliate in kind.
It may completely stop commerce, except in the way of blood money.
Get it? Blood money? Because there’s blood! Wow!
Well then there’s always Darnassus. No one ever goes there xD
Hooo boy…if this bothers you, never play EVE online.
Imagine if in WoW you could not only kill the auctioneers, but you could actually destroy the auction house itself, anything that was posted dropped and could be taken, and any players you killed while there would drop any wow tokens they might have happened to have. Also you and your guild could proceed to camp there for weeks killing everything, essentially shutting down the game for the other faction.
of course they do, and we enjoy when they do. Spices things up.
We kill them, move on, world keeps on spinning.
pvp happened.
there are 100 more of you than him. go kill him.
LMAO…plays a WAR game, whines about WAR game results.
Its allowed or they’d make them unkillable.
deal with it…or find another game
lol. alliance players come to orgrimmar every week or so and kill the AH NPCs. I dont think Ive seen a single whimpering about it from horde players. lol.
Sometimes it’ll be one or two guys…sometimes itll be a large pack of them.
The EASY fix to this whine fest is;
- get garrison to level 2.
- get trading post to level 2
- buy the 4 garrison AH bot parts off the AH
- turn in Garrison AH bot quest
- boom…Garrison AH where no one can make them upset over an NPC dying
