AH SW griefing(ended discussion, no more responses.)

It never crossed my mind about you.

Just looking over all the post and the vague statements from Blizzard and I came to that conclusion.

You can put your own hopes dreams and delusional interpretation on things all you want, does not change the FACT that this has been a thing since the beginning of wow and will continue to be.

If Blizzard viewed it as such a problem we wouldn’t be able to damage them in the first place.

Let’s see how many of the 40+ people I have invading SW this weekend get banned. So far in my 14 years of playing, that number has been a constant ZERO

Always the option of using the engineer auction house in oribos if you’re not big on professions. Should always be a longboi hanging around in any major city though.

That is objectively what you’re doing, not me.

Except people on non PvP servers used to get actioned for it quite heavily, and especially RP servers.

“Duh if Blizzard didn’t want us to say all these words to other players they would’ve disabled me from doing so.” Isn’t the ‘own’ you think it is. They could choose to restrict tons of things in the game, but then you’d be real upset about that too. They would have to turn off basically any toy that can be seen by other players or interacts with other players as a result of PHYSICAL harassment : https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/13923

They would’ve also made it so you couldn’t use mounts on top of other players as it’s something used to disrupt RP, they could also disable ALL emotes because they can be spammed, etc etc.

Are you a Blizzard GM? How many do you know got banned? Since we’re going with anecdotal, in my 17 years of playing WoW that number has been over a million players actioned for it. :3

I don’t disagree, but it’s worth noting from the same thread.

Considering now being a jerk is against the rules according to the social contract we had to sign, this blue’s response didn’t age well… and I do believe the conduct OP is describing would easily be seen as violating the social contract Blizzard made everyone agree to.

It isn’t. That social contract is the exactly same EULA we’ve had for years. Nowhere in it is there a rule that specifically states, “don’t be a jerk or you’ll be sanctioned.” Most of it is"do your best to." There’s only three things at the end that you can be sanctioned for and they’re all the exact things that have been in game for over a decade.

If they weren’t meant to be killed, they would just be untargetable. Since they can be targetted and killed, it seems like fair game play and totally fine.

Now if a Horde is in Stormwind, maybe do something to kill the Horde player so they can’t kill your NPCs. After all, if they are in an opposing faction city they DO become flagged and killable.

Sounds like you’re making an issue out of nothing, use the other AH or Alliance should defend their city from attacks. Pretty simple really.

That’s just not true. From the Social Contract:

We recognize that the Internet is not always a safe haven. With that in mind, please note that the following behaviors are not accepted in Azeroth:

  • Spamming, advertising, or other disruptive behaviors

If you harm your fellow adventurers with any of the above behaviors, you are subject to punishment up to and including suspension of your account.

Seems pretty clear cut to me. Any behavior that is considered “disruptive” can absolutely be punished, up to and including suspension.

There’s been plenty of things that have been in game for over a decade that are no longer OK. Blizzard spent months removing them.

I’ll say right now: I don’t actually believe you should get suspended for doing a PvP action that has a PvP solution… but I do believe this case, while not specific, does constitute a deliberate, disruptive behavior and is, therefore, against the social contract.

Then let them report the AH killers and see how fast the GMs DONT do anything about it.

Then REPORT it, lmao…WE CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT IN HERE, for christ sake.
WHY are you all railing in here about it instead of REPORTING it in game?

You know why?
YOU KNOW nothing will be done about it BECAUSE IF blizzard thought it WAS griefing they WOULD make those NPCs unkillable…lol.

Yes. It is.

Has been in the conduct portion of the EULA for ages.

PvP isnt considered disruptive. It’s PvP. Anything voes and always has.

Oh please. Your stuoid bowl of fruit and jokes have nothing to do with player vs player.

It’s not. It hasn’t been since Vanilla.

Kill him, problem solved

lol…the odds that blizzard will make those NPC unkillable is about the same as Ion relenting his obstinance and reverting the loot a rang to being usable at cata eng 1 again lmao

the people complaining about it here will sure be disappointed when they see the horde in SW this weekend
gonna be HOURS of us rotating around the city killing everything that will take damage, zero of us will be “actioned”, none of us have for nearly two decades.

peace was never an option.
make war(craft), not love.

You know what else is clear cut?

Being flagged the second you walk into an enemy town or city, because the factions are at war. Warmode off is just an old school PVE server, and you’re still flagged in enemy territory.

Did you know there’s a rogue quest chain that requires you to kill the enemy AH NPC? It’s part of the game, like it or not carebear.

So no, Blizzard will not do a thing about this. It’s a PvP problem with an obvious PvP solution. Too chicken to flag up? Then move to another AH. There are two in SW.

There are too many options to solve this problem on your own for Blizzard to get involved, that’s why they won’t.

and good lord…ALL of us can use the Garrison AH easily enough. lol.
ZERO reasons to be making this particular thing a big deal.

better yet, hop in chat, find people to group with and go take it back.

hopefully the ganker comes back with a group of their own and all of a sudden an 80v80 goes down.
it is so much fun when you are invading a city and all of a sudden 50 members of the other faction are grouping up at the gates.

make some connections, make some strange gestures and make warcraft
