AH SW griefing(ended discussion, no more responses.)

I found that, but it doesn’t mention specifically what griefing is defined as.

There’s never been an opt out of npc murder though, even in tbc on RP servers enemy faction could go into cities and kill npcs. Non pvp servers before they removed pvp servers always had the manual pvp flag toggle option and going into an enemy city has always flagged you for pvp regardless of the realm type. Even on RP servers you were allowed to do the city pvp achievements when those came out

Should stormwind and orgrimmar be sharded for warmode? Probably. But pve servers have never been an escape :smiling_imp:

people attack npc’s for fun they dont know what your doing they do not care they mearly are having fun and everyone whos been on wow long enough knows this. if you want to let your hate out get a bunch of people together and do the exact thing to horde, otherwise your wasting your time blizzard will tell you to stop bugging them.

blizzard allows this if they say its allowed its allowed your and my wants do not matter.

Right…and therein lies the problem. Just like ‘trolling’ on this forum. They offer some vague idea of what MIGHT be an offense without actually nailing it down in stone, so they can either ignore or punish something on a whim even if they did the exact opposite the last time it happened.

What we know is they enabled the game to allow the NPCs to be killed. In a major city they likely expect WM enabled players to deal with attackers so they likely arent going to do anything about this particular issue,…especially, again, since we can just activate our Garrison AH and be perfectly safe from annoyances…even if some dont want to be bothered to do it

I so very much agree.

Wrong, it’s not classed as world PVP, it is blatant griefing of Auction House Auctineers in Stormwind by the Tauran stated in the first post the OP, and is bannable if reported to Blizzard.

Alas, Blizzard disagrees.

It is considered zone disruption depending on how many times they do it.

If enough people on the server decide to report the person doing it, they can get actioned for it. It depends on how the server feels about it, if they feel it’s disrupting their gameplay then Blizzard will act on it.

jesus…aint that the facts. lol.
I got a LONG list of things I want changed if I have my druthers. But I dont.
I either accept their decisions or I go find another game. Not that I wont do like the OP here and complain anyway.

Which, by the way, Im NOT saying dont complain about any of this.
What Im saying is they CLEARLY ALLOW it and are ok with it or theyd fix it.
OUR options are take engineering and go elsewhere…or enable the Garrison bot.
This particular issue likely isnt going to be changed on blzzards part because this IS a war based game

At least there is some kind of description. I would think that killing an AH person once or twice is fine, but killing them over and over…and over would be griefing.

That is correct, staying there proves intent to disrupt gameplay. If they just rez, kill AH npcs and die over and over, they’re clearly not trying to PvP just trying to disrupt gameplay.

and yet they come to orgrimmar a few times a month for quite a long time now killing the AH NPCs and nothing has been done about it lmao.

no its world pvp if you dont like that sign a petition to wow to ask blizzard to make the npc’s unkillable, there are several achievments that require players killing other players in cities and the leaders and the easiest way is killing enemies who are flagged which brings other players into combat, this thread has had several people bringing posts blizzard putting you guys in your place about this topic yet you keep brining it up at this point your either trolling or spamming either way im blocking people like you.

you would think that would be the case.
I was out running quests on an alt one day in kalimdor. I wont name anything for fear someone will get froggy ideas and go do it, lol.
So an alliance player is killing an NPC over and over for like half hour.
Hes a quest giver, and you turn it back into him when its done.
It was cute for the first half dozen kills but now its annoying.
I reported him. Like 3 minutes later he was gone. lol.

I think its because that quest has ONE NPC to get the quest from and turn it into and so they might allow you to kill it here and there, but after half hour its obviously stopping me from playing the game for that questline

Not so with AH NPCs. there are AH’s all over the game, including our garrisons. So its not even remotely comparable and likely why few, if any, of us have seen anyone be actioned over killing AH NPCs.

What are you on about?

I go to places in kalimdor to kill lowbees, i always hope someone brings their main and ill bring some people as well forcing the others to bring more starting an actual world pvp encounter the most fun kind. the southshore terran mill bg became an actual bg it was based off actual player made events ingame the samt type of thing the op thinks isnt allowed and is banable.

I think the issue is they turn WM off and think pvp is now prohibited and that AINT the case at all lol.
If you turn WM off and stumble into a pvp zone and get it enabled, someone may gank you real quick and theres nothing you can do about it. lol.

Its a war game. I doubt theyre gonna stop it from being one entirely.

What I take from this is AH is open warfare, but outside of that, it’s up to the mods to decide what is griefing and griefing is loosely defined as perhaps a constant interference with other players enjoyment of the game. Key word is “constant interference”. Wait, that’s two words.

right. lol.
I dont want to come off as liking the AH slaughters, its was annoying when i was having to deal with it.
MOST of the reason I got the AH in my garrison on like 7 characters is because I was tired of being annoyed by other players lol. Killing the NPCS or setting up some balloon toy that covered the entire AH lol.
