Aggressive people on forums who hide their profiles (What happened to trust but verify?)

It’s pretty amazing that these new forums allow people to hide their profiles. It used to be that people would hide behind an alt, and say stupid BS. Now, they can aggressively do the “git gud” chorus, while hiding themselves. If I can’t see their character, I don’t give the benefit of the doubt that they’re a “got gud God.”

Not everyone who has their profile hidden has done it intentionally. There is a forum bug that hides some people’s profiles without their control.

Plus, I only hid my profile because for some reason Blizzard lumped together hide your profile with hide your forum presence.

I simply don’t want to be visible on “Maizou is viewing this thread.” or “Maizou is typing a reply.”

Unfortunately, until they decouple the hidden profile from presence, I have to hide both or neither, and I’d rather hide both than neither.

They can’t entirely hide themselves especially from being flagged and they can’t conceal themselves from the forum mods.

So what? Flag them if its a flaaggable offense. It really doesn’t matter if they themselves are “gud” or not. Insulting is insulting.

Well sadly there is a certain shaman that states everything is overtuned but insists on hiding everything to mask how bad he is.

Don’t expect very many updates about privacy and security and such or basic features like being able to ignore/block people.

The person who designed these forums is an imbecile with stupid opinions on how things should work. (Allow somebody to block or ignore somebody harassing abusing them is “Dangerous.”)

I like hiding profiles, it prevents ad hominem. People like to invent any reason they can think of to deflect someone’s point.

People who say stupid BS or fad statements like"git gud" are trolls. You can report them.

I support flagging when you feel it is appropriate and not complaining about people hiding their personal business.
