You know how many times I’ve heard in the last few days…
“Who cares if people buy gold?”
“It doesn’t make any difference to me if anyone buys gold.”
“It literally has no impact on the game if players buy gold.” - Drink’s favorite quote.
I could go on and on. And it’s always said by pro-gdkpers. People against this loot system are happy because it reduces RMT, it reduces the need for gold buying and bots. It makes it easier for Blizz to find and ban gold buyers (that’s straight from Aggrend). Even the people who don’t buy gold know damn well the whales in GDKPs who provide that big cut of gold are doing it. They don’t want to lose out on that income. I’ve seen many people even admit this the last few days.
So…please. This false narrative you’re trying to make is the opposite of reality. So gaslight someone else. I’m done with you.
And your kind probably buys more gold than any GDKPer. Because who needs to buy gold when in p1 most items went for 5g or less and you could get more gold via questing. If you think that the only way that someone could GDKP is by buying gold that tells me a lot about how you play the game and think about it.
And suddenly everyone wants to be an activist for those banned even when blizzard has reviewed and stated the bans are justified. Birds of a feather flock together. Just gold buyers trying to get their way.
i remember your name specifically in the same thread that the botlovers(gdkpers) said that they did not care if people bought gold, so you can go find that yourself
You have to realize that all these people who are getting banned might be getting banned for something else that they previously did. I mentioned it in a different thread, but it’s something along the lines of:
“I got arrested for whistling in the park!”
“You sure it wasn’t for something else?”
“I mean, I mugged a guy earlier but… No! I was arrested right after whistling so that must’ve been it!”
Until Aggrend is willing to show me proof 2 of my 3 guild members are liars I’m going to believe them over him. I have zero reason to believe they are lying as I watched them hours after hours of farming worgens/fishing leveling alts etc then banned after they move their gold around their characters. If he’s willing to actually show proof they bought gold then fine. But until then all I see is a blizz employee calling legit players liars and being arrogant enough to believe his automated system is godly and can do no wrong.
I have traded gold for consumables in raid and have not been banned because I have never purchased gold for real money or participated in a GDKP. No one in my guild has been banned for playing WoW normally. No one has been banned for splitting gold sold on a BoE item or whatever.
I will say that story about the guy on an unbanned account who wrote blizzard asking for his account to be unbanned and got a “sorry we’re not lifting it response” back is pretty bad. I have a lot of experience managing support staff at scale and the guy who sent that I’m sure has received a talking to. lol
