I would contribute some* of it to the rise of expense in customer service cost for handling ban related topics. Cheaters and botting have only skyrocketted since the game came out. I would bet we have more bots that are much more complex on crusader strike right now then we did on all servers in 2008.
And with Jagex model of F2P they will always have botting issues. There is never ever a time they can fully fix it unless we improve AI 100 fold from what we have now. And hopefully that comes one day.
The reason why Jagex does auto replys is because they get mass tickets from banned botters. And you said it yourself that is a lot of tickets when at any time 70% of the game is suicide bots.
Again. I don’t think the way they are handling tickets is the best way to handle them. I personally would say you should be able to legally enforce an investigation on your account for a fee that is returned on proven innocence. As until AI catches up with the rate of Bots I don’t think any company can even afford to have the gold standard customer service anymore.
Aka I think its a more complicated issue then just hire more people. I mean I could be wrong but I don’t think there is good enough evidence to suggest I am though.

Yah, Gold buying is bad. Bots are bad, nonexistent customer support for a service is bad to.
People would not be stressing out about sharing gold from loot drops with friends in their groups if they could talk to a HUMAN if something goes wrong.
No I want to mail gold from one character to another on the same account. But the stories are kicking my anxiety into overdrive.

This is really the crux of it all. Even if their automated systems actually were as successful as they claim to be, the fact that they’re automated at all is a problem. At best it’s a massive disconnect between the players and developers, and at worse in the chance that it does cause an issue, it’s a huge issue

I have a challenge for you, go to the Emerald drake whelp farming spot in SoS. Find a hunter bot. Start talking in general chat about that hunter bot. See how long it takes to get mass reported and removed from the game.
Then, Open a ticket. See if you get a response from an actual person who has looked into the problem and realized the report function was being abused. (You won’t).

GDKPers love bots? Are you blind? Every pro-GDKP post is like “Ban bots and ban RMT. Harsher punishments for those things. We don’t want them.” While most anti-GDKPers are just trolls saying lol swiper mad! Your willful ignorance and the fact that you think everyone in a group must be bad is a massive red flag. Either you are a troll just wanting to stir the pot or you really believe that and that is just kind of sad that you only see the world in a way that everyone that is different from you must be bad.
The point is that the system is automated and abused. That’s the problem, it isn’t a huge ask to expect customer service from a company you pay a subscription to.
Because it’s literally basic human interaction. Part of customer service is the customer speaking to an actual human being and not a robot

if you are promoting the use of bots via goldbuying then i dont see why you deserve human interaction to look at your case
