this was addressed in aggrend’s post. this is extremely risky behaviour due to the potential connection to gold buying. There is a reason that it is not banned outright that is explained in the tweet. Its not that hard to see a potential connect to RMT and why you should avoid it unless you absolutely know the person on the other end is not connected to RMT.

His post clearly says it’s not supported to trade gold between accounts. If you get banned it’s YOUR FAULT.
Probably should stop doing it.
Also, your guild is probably full of gold buyers so they should be scared.
I guess you are going to quit now they said that you trading gold between you accounts is not supported and you can get banned.

Said removing public GDKP made it easier to track gold, tracks gold, bans cheaters, forums posters come out the woodwork claiming their friend was improperly banned, everyone says to put in a ticket and if its wrong get re-instated, banned person never shows up again.

He didn’t say they’re liars. He said they’re leaving out key details, which is often true. You can get banned even if you didn’t directly buy/sell gold. If you recieve stolen/bought gold that can result in a ban, even if you were unaware. Does that suck for commonfolk? Absolutely, blame gold buyers, not Blizzard.
If you read the full message Aggrend posted, he’s warning you against accepting large sums of gold from other players because you generally can’t verify it’s source and often even your ‘friends’ will lie to you about it.
I would recommend sticking to using the AH, despite how slow it is sometimes as it can help avoid a lot of headaches.
It’s unfortunate it’s come to this but you simply can’t trust other players.
