-Put heroic strike on a cooldown to eliminate the endless rage dump scaling (would rather have rage I can’t spend then have no rage to spend)
-Set deep wounds back to vanilla mechanics. It may be too good in SoD (credit Eastghost)
-Make the weapon racial changes so Warriors always have bonus to hit for their weapons. This will result in smoother rage generation. Constantly being rage starved makes for very choppy gameplay
-Add runes that give us abilities that deviate from the feel of our vanilla standard tool kit or are just pure % damage increases. Shockwave, Heroic Leap, Sundering Strike, Meathook, Shattering Throw, etc…mix it up and give the class exciting new buttons to push in PVE and PVP
-Balance the Warrior for higher sustained PVE damage in exchange for the massive execute phase damage. This will smooth out the huge Warrior DPS spikes in short fights
-Adjust World Buffs so they are not as favorable to spike damage. 10% damage from sayge, 5% crit for rallying cry/temple explorer, 5% crit from songflower, 3% crit from mongoose before any of our countless damage modfying runes/abilities/on use items…thats how we get 15K execute crits at level 50
-Warrior’s want to be in people’s face doing big melee damage. That’s the fantasy. Let us bring the pain in exchange for limited to no CC, Stealth or Ranged options
Warriors have 1 gimmick. They have had it since 2004.
We scale better with gear than every other class.
SoD made this problem 10x worse by exclusively giving us runes that passively increase damage and by making deep wounds a rolling dot.
In order to fix it, they need to rethink a LOT because simply nerfing our damage is going to make the class undesirable. What do warriors do better than other classes at end game?
It isn’t tanking, healing, survivability, or support.

That’s essentially my argument, except that warriors have been sold the idea that they are surviving this hardship in order to be top dps at 60. You could still alienate a lot of players by redesigning the class to be more support based or more survivable etc.
we have so many buttons as is. id rather they give our current buttons more use or add interesting utility/bonus effects to things. I agree with the statement about improving our hit chance and sustained pve instead of execute burst.

Warriors don’t just have execute burst. There are some important things to consider about warrior dps:
Heroic strike removes DW miss penalty so we don’t need hit on gear
Deep wounds double-dips with all damage multipliers. If you have 200% damage increase from buffs, your deep wounds does 200% weapon avg damage * 200% multiplier
our crits are already 20% bigger
we get more crit from agility than other melee classes
This means we scale with gear FAR better than other classes at all phases of the fight.
This depends on what you are refering to PvP? Or PVE?
PvP damage is absolutely stupid. It doesn’t FEEL like im playing a warrior when i get globaled in 2 seconds from instant cast caster crits for 2k when I have 4k HP, but when I get on them my damage is mid solo and to get WF is like pulling teeth. Not to mention that everytime I get a dps burst chain from crits, out comes bubble, dispersion, Sac, deterrence and every other defensive. Warriors need flat damage reduction in PvP and the melee damage need to penetrate armor (because now every class except for warriors damage is not mitigated by armor.
In PvE, or DPS is fine, we need help with threat generation while tanking and once again slight damage reduction.
They could have done anything with warriors, elemental damage weapons, bleeds, make them hulking one shot machines in melee, fulfill the long requested blade master hero class request, give us ignore pain damage reduction based on the amount of rage we have. They could have gotten REALLY creative since SoD was designed on “making everything good.” Instead we got to be part of a burst meta in which we are the only class that by design cant do up front burst.
Over all, warriors have felt pretty disappointing, considering the ideas I had for the class.
