After MoP Classic

Will Progression Server Characters be transferred over to Retail? Or will Progressing Servers Characters keep going towards WoD all the way up to TWW?

I think they should stay in MoP permanently…

No clue for facts.

Best I’d see is legion. Many want it.

And blizzard can see the data from alot of us converts. OUr disdain of retail started in BFA. Grew in SL then bloomed in DF.

We’d not go back to the trilogy of terror. Well some would for BFA. those who missed corruptions the last time might want to play with laser beam death builds.

Almost no one will pay $15 a month to play the same game permanently. I doubt that blizzard will ever offer a permanent server for any expansion since it’s unlikely enough people will pay for it to be profitable.

IF this happens, I will Arena perpetually; MoP arena and RBG’s are really damn good.

I see you have not yet heard of Classic Era; its packed.

It’s not it’s nearly dead, most realms have less than a few hundred players. It has 17212 players on Ironforge total for all realms. Cata has almost 100 thousand more than era.

Login to Classic Era Whitemane, not even close to dead.

There’s a couple servers that have enough players to function but none of them are even mid sized. Whitemane is a small server with 5576 total pop.

Moving to WoD or evn Legion would be even greater disaster for blizzard than move from wrath to cataclysm. This classic wow is a free game come with a retail sub, it is not a stand alone game from blizzard point of view. This has shown back when they sabotage wrath for dragonflight, I am not surprised there was no support for cataclysm which is less wanted expansion.

I think mop is when wow pvp is best, and mop need little changes for balance unlike cataclysm. I really think classic should stop at MoP. I dont think they gona do classic plus or anything.

People still want to get going after mop? after what they are experiencing in cataclysm right now? a maintenance mode with barely fixes or class changes that charges you monthly and they seem to care only to a very small population of raiding style in general?

Or this is a cope overdose thread?

I’d take wod and legion maintenance mode. I never completed WOD crafted sets. they broke that in BFA to SL changes. With the runic slots or some crap on crafted armours no one really used.

and didn’t fix it till almost DF, i think. It was broken so long I stopped checking when fixed.

Garrison then order halls gives lots to do for side stuff. Vice cata where tasks run out once core stuff is done.

Each expansion will likely see smaller numbers. We just don’t know what number blizzard thinks is the minimum to keep classic going. For me MoP is a go, WoD is 50/50, Legion 50/50 and BfA is a no go, if we even get that far.

This hasn’t been updated since June or July… Additionally the only people who log in Era are the 3 sweatiest GDKP groups and the speed clear teams. basically less than 1/10th of 1% of the players log.

There are no rated BG or arena to track either.

Your attempt to claim Era is dead is rather amusing, we likely have more players on Era Whitemane alone than in all of Cata

That’s the most ridiculous thing ever posted here. I get that Ironforge isn’t totally reliable but there’s no way it’s numbers are that far off. Ironforge puts Whitemane at 5576 and Cata at 115 thousand. Your guess at the numbers is based on nothing more than a hope and your own bias.

If that were true then Whitemane would have 1000 times more than Ironforge’s number or 5 million 576 thousand players. Do you see how ridiculous your claim is? Math is hard for some people.

IF pro only reports players who log raids / Arena participants and RBG participation.

It for whatever reason has been blocked in respect to Era since… Data for reset from 9 July 2024 to 15 July 2024.

When I tell you almost no one logs on Era, its no exaggeration.

Do your math. You’re claiming Whitemane has 5.5 million players.

Doesn’t even matter when most Cata, sod and retail players are logging several characters. You’re a clown who can’t even look at a game for yourself or trust what people who actually play it tell ya. You dismiss things based on a third party site that tracks its data using a different set of third party sites, and cannot even tell you the number of unique accounts.

Furthermore, your blind dislike and bias are showing.

There is no reason why every version of wow shouldn’t have its own permanent servers; spinning up a server client is pitiful easy, and the upkeep and operations cost is very low comparable to the intake of subscriptions and OF versions like Cata, MTX.

Only a selfish hateful clown who wants to chain everyone to the progression would keep your opinion.

Who knows who cares. That’s way too far out

No one person can know what’s happening on every server or even know much about the server they play on. I go with the best data I can find. Your wild guesses are obviously so far off that no one could trust you. You guessed that Whitemane had 5.5 million players.

I don’t care at all if blizzard has a era server and an SoD server for every expansion. I just look at the numbers and can see why a company that has an obligation to it’s owners, the shareholders, doesn’t think it would be sufficiently profitable to do it.
