After MoP Classic

its pretty much this. im 100% convinced that these people think they want these old expacs after wrath, but in reality they dont, because said expansions were just trash. I think they just don’t want to give up their characters they’ve been playing since 2019 classic launched, so they are willing to pretend to like the expansions after wrath

It’s pretty much this. I’m 100% convinced that these people who think they don’t want these old expacs after wrath but in reality they do, they’re just repeating hate posts they read. I think they just want to jump on the hate bandwagon they’ve read about since cata was released without even trying the game, so they are willing to pretend they played and didn’t like the expansions after wrath.

It’s pretty easy to cover AH fees for tokens with very little effort of regularly listing items on the AH in either Cata Classic or TWW.

Though I suspect that most people don’t really notice the $15/month or $100 or whatever a year sub fee, while a considerable portion likely spends much more on in-game and/or third party services.

:woman_shrugging:

I played a ton of cata, mop, wod, etc. even mogging cata elite pvp mogs that are incredibly rare these days on retail as we speak.

Cata has significant changes of old world, leveling, design of vanilla/tbc/some of wrath that completely take away that classic feel, it’s no longer classic wow but “old retail expacs”.

Pair that with the atrocious state of how blizzard has treated it isn’t helping in any way either.

It really wasn’t that good of an expansion, not enough to warrant a re-release.

Era and SoD are busy.

If one counts turbo losing at AB/AV as quality gaming content.

Lose 500 times faster, get elite pvp gear for classic era…faster.

Everyone has their own definition “that classic feel.” You’re certainly entitled to your opinion as am I. Contrary to some people’s beliefs I know what I like to play and Cata has enough of that classic feel that I wanted to play it, and I haven’t played retail since BfA. So there is enough of a difference to retail that I want to play it.

It was good enough that I want to play it and that’s enough for me. The question is was it good enough that enough people want to play it that it made a profit for blizzard. If so it warranted a re-release.

You say that…

But all your incessant arguing says otherwise…

Every time anyone wants to ask for any legacy server of any given type, there you are arguing for the company.

Why do we need you to tell us why a server can or cannot exist?

No one cares about your logistics or reasoning as to why it can or cannot happen…

Even if a single person in the world wants a Shadowlands classic server, what business is it of yours to come to any topic and tell them why it can’t happen?

Same thing goes for you Ceasar…

If I want to demand free 60 era boosts as compensation, too bad for you, if you don’t like it, if it affects the game negatively/subjectively, for you…

I’m a paying customer and I’ll demand LFR be added tomorrow in era if I feel like it…

It’s as simple as that…

Pointing out that the numbers make it obvious that it wouldn’t be profitable is all I’ve ever done. I don’t play or want SoD but with over 88 thousand players it seems to be profitable enough so I’ve never posted against SoD. Era has only 17 thousand players so even you should be able to see the significant difference in the numbers.

You clearly don’t care about logic or reasoning but I think many people and blizzard do.

We don’t need you to constantly be pointing it out though. Once or once in a blue moon is enough…

We don’t care about your numbers; see my previous point…

Even if one person in the world wants to play BofA forever, it’s none of your business that we need you to point anything out.

That’s right…

I care for what my money gets me. If I feel the company owes me something, and I feel they do with how they handled cloning, I’m going to demand my customer service…

whether any of you like it or not.

Who is we? Likes don’t matter but clearly some do care about my posts since I’ve gotten more likes than you. Even considering how nasty I can sometimes be.

Go ahead and demand all you want. If I want I’ll point out that it’ll take more than you to get it and there doesn’t seem to be enough like you for blizzard to make it profitable. And if it’s not profitable why would blizzard do it?

Do you really have to ask such a stupid question?

Then get used to Mktaar and I asking over and over. Feel free to keep waste your time speaking for the company.

I already know we’re getting TBC and Wrath again anyways…

When they need to recycle the arena seasons, which the company seems to have a hard e-peen for.

/shrug

I just thought you might consider that when you use we it usually just means mktaar and you.

You just gave me an idea for a new topic. Check general discussion when you have time.

I only read Cataclysm Classic Discussion. I don’t have time or care enough to do more than that.

What, for several more months?

You’re just going to replace the word Cata with MoP soon, like the retailer you are.

You have no affinity for any particular version, that’s why you can’t stomach playing any one version forever.

The truth is we can’t stomach playing any one version forever. The one basic rule that every video company knows is that most people will play a game, maybe a few times through, then move onto the next expansion or a new game. That’s why every video game company releases an expansion to every game even a bit popular. Because no matter how good a game is most people will get bored after a couple of years and move on. You’re one of the very few who don’t get that.

You’re entitled to decide for you and you alone what is retail and what is not, just as I am. I haven’t touched retail since BfA so for me there’s a difference between Cata and MoP and retail. There’s only a 50/50 chance I’ll play WoD or Legion but no chance I’ll continue on to BfA.

That doesn’t coincide with what’s going on in Whitemane era right now. It’s booming.

Also, your logic doesn’t apply, and you already have excuses ready for your contradictions…

If vanilla era is a dead game per your logic, why is the company keeping era or its derivatives up? HC doesn’t have that much more numbers than SoD or vanilla era…

I’m not interested in your answers to the question above

I just posed the question to show that your logic doesn’t apply.

I’ve heard your excuses to this question before and they were just that; excuses.

It’s not, it’s just not. Don’t go by your fee fees. Look at the numbers. All of classic era has 17 thousand. Cata has 115 thousand. SoD has 87 thousand. Whitemane is a small functioning server with 5576. Unless you plan to claim like Cezar did that it has 5.5 million players.

Don’t have to.

I can actually see for myself in the actual server cluster.

The number is irrelevant. The server cluster is active nearly everywhere.

What am i going to find if I were to actually download the Cata client? Am I going to find an active ORG at all hours, in any megaserver?

Wrath Grobb, near the end, didn’t look anything like Whitemane era looks right now.
