I feel like this is another… I can’t put the time into this game so I’m sad and I’m going to the forums ! This expansion has been a lot of fun personally… yes torghast is a quick 40 min chore every week but besides that it’s been fun… this is an MMO have to put the time in to get rewarded
What? I’ve completed about 150 keys in time this season exclusively with pugs and have only experienced one toxic person, from the Brazilian server. I’d say that 1 in 600 is a pretty low number.
Don’t think about it as wasted time. Remember the good times not the bad. Just read up on patches and if they interest you it is easy to return. I’m currently reduced to love rocket farming and sha farming until time runs out.
The amount of ppl that leave M+ this expac is the only thing ludicrous but can you blame them when the loot drop rates suck bad.
the problem is the attitude trickles down in the other aspects of the game. my first time healing on my druid, i’m like level 52 and you can tell these 2 other players in the group were new or havent ever run the dungeon before. he’s taking the mythic+ shortcuts, we’re trying to follow, he’s losing his mind because one of them pulls a pack. “do you even look at the screen when you play? how did you even manage to make it to level 55”? He’s 100 yards in front of everyone, chain pulling this normal dungeon like he has somewhere else to be, we wipe on the boss and he has the audacity to say “i’m trying to be nice”.
in a freakin normal dungeon. i remember it because it was me, i pulled an extra pack.
I’m not saying there aren’t any bad apples, but this is anecdotal evidence. Too many players are using anecdotal evidence to justify generalizations on an entire playerbase for enjoying Mythic+, and that is hypocritical.
Regardless of what that player does or will do, they will always be a nasty player. That doesn’t mean we’re all nasty because we participate in Mythic+ or progression content. Unfortunately, with WoW’s large playerbase, there will be bad apples.
'k see you in 9.1
And with less than an hour left, I am out like a fart in the wind.
POOF
weird.
i don’t raid, i haven’t touched pvp so far this expansion, and i still find myself having so much stuff to do, that i don’t have time to grind WQ for anima.
good luck with the booze.
Unfortunate, but honestly why was this post needed if you weren’t going to tell that story.
Nah, I was at 1600 days of /played before I bought 4 more accounts and couldn’t track it any longer. I’ll be in wow till I die
No ones gold sucks
What there is to do is different for everyone. As a collector Blizz could stop adding new content and I’d have enough stuff to do to keep me busy for years. Others would quit after a month
Regardless of how you view this situation, M+ breeds toxicity in the game. WoW’s greatest strength for over a decade was how inclusive both dungeoneering and raiding was for the middle of the road gamer.
So many players of different backgrounds and skill levels came together and created some pretty amazing communities, because even the highest levels of content was still accessible to most of the player base. Sure, there were still toxic players back in the day, but it doesn’t even come close to the level toxicity that retail WoW has today. This is by design as well, because I play other MMOs and they don’t really have the problems WoW has, because they haven’t embraced this e-sport style of design that has infected WoW’s end game activities.
The current development team is hands down completely responsible for the state of WoW’s community these days. They created these ultra competitive systems and shoehorned them into a game that was always one of the most casual MMOs on the market. They have betrayed everything this game was founded on in order to chase what essentially is a fad.
The e-sport bubble is close to breaking soon. Companies have been shoveling millions of dollars at and haven’t really turned a profit yet.
I can work with yet…
Communities already exist that focus on being a non-toxic environment to do content.

GL on your break! Enjoy your time out of this grim hole.
I have visions of the OP forcing the door open and staggering out into the sunlight…
Shadowlands was supposed to save WoW but it ended up damaging it worse. Why did you quit raiding? There’s nothing wrong with it.
Well it might be tough, if these two devices were for coping. I as well have canceled, I will prob check out future patches, but like you, I mainly like one portion , but it it’s not overall friendly, secluded to one group, then they can have their fun.
Life is more than a pixel paradise, er sorta like a future dumpster of alts which are unplayable, as among other things. In all seriousness though, stay positive and breathe!
Gold doesn’t even seem that valuable anymore… lol
