Will affliction be viable with corruption gear ?
Feel like the best corruption pieces favor melee or pillars that dont move like destro.
Faced a 700k hp blood dk and his twilight devastation proc’d once and split my healer in half for 200k lol.
I have the same affix but since I’m ranged it misses or fades before it reaches it target.
Void is like 15 yards tho
Either way I dont think corruption saves aff, adds issue is dispels

Feels like dks are very strong this season.

Got that corruption pool trinket and lasso’d a couple ppl in it and watching them get chunked is fun

I honestly don’t think corruption affixes are going to change the meta at all. Every class can take advantage of the affixes (only tanks are better off). So if affy was garbage before, these affixes aren’t going to suddenly make them more viable when a dk/destro can use the same affix.
The only thing it might do is allow for more skill as punishing positioning of bad defensive usage is easier. So maybe if you’re super skilled affy you might do a tiny bit better. Still better playing destro though

the hp % affixes will actually improve their ability to rot by a large margin.
Think aff boomkin or ele aff can actually rot a team with the correct corruptions.
Adding in an essence like Breath of the Dying r2+ i think they will have better tools to allow things like UA silence / shear / and other utility actually start to matter.
The problem with aff isnt that we cant rot its that we die b4 we can start to rot people.

Affs not that much more squishy it was that everyone outhealed their dmg.
with long gate , port they actually can kite for a pretty long time
The issue is none of that mattered cuz tank trinkets and double melee outhealed that.
vers / haste stacking aff i think would be in a decent spot this season with more scaling + new corruptions + new essences

So what do u think is a good setup for aff if i want to aim for, any specific build that may work with this meta ? Ex. Essences , which corruption eff, stats
vers / haste stacking with either vers or haste % corruptions Id need to test a bit on TR when I can to see what feels better.
Breath of dying major or Strife major depending on comps your fighting or the comps your running.
My aff lock has echoing void and 3x agony traits. Also running crucible major with haste proc essences as minor. Typically get 35-50% haste in arenas with dot’s ticking every 0.7 seconds feels nice, doin 20-25k DPS per match. I have like 0% vers tho so I’m squishy as hell.
aff design is even worse than destro, I cant for my life imagine why anyone would want to play it
bring back wrath affliction (actually any pre-legion version would do)

i think if you focus on doing 1-2 uas per target instead of 5+ it starts to feel more crisp
I soooooooo miss the big damage to anyone who dispelled UA back in the day. Brought me so many tears of joy. Aff lock still sucked in world pvp but actual UA dispel protection and even mana drain was soooo good !
The good days…I miss being able to play Aff and being competitive.

Yeah. Dispelling a UA only deals 15-20k dmg atm when it should deal 30-50k+ instead. I wanna see a healer dispel UA’s and one shot himself like the old times

Aff and Demo will forever be worse than Destro until they do class changes. Sad to say.
