Is affliction warlock viable or even double? I’d like like to arena with my lock but I do not find destruction enjoyable.

If it isn´t 3v3, it is really hard to kill sometihngwith destro mostly because of line of sight.

Aff is a lot of fun, and is great cat + mouse practice for avoiding melee. The damage isnt really there unless you have heavy pve trinkets, and then you are really squishy for using them.

Also good luck trying to lfg a team as Aff

I mean if you enjoy stacking coloured blocks and counting in single digits I imagine it was fun.

There were interesting new designs in MoP, but what destro lost wasn’t worth the trade off. MoP became the first expansion continuing to now from vanilla where i stopped playing lock as my 2nd main.

Sacrifice to gain pet abilities was cool though. Pretty sure you could havoc seduction at one point and continue to cast while moving through kjc, but then again I dont think that was even destruction specific. Which was cool but didn’t change that the rest of the spec became boring.

I’ve also seen a few aff locks that bang, but they kinda get rekt by dispells and dispelling UA isn’t nearly as scary as it should be

I played destro strictly since tbc. So I took it personally and was upset when mop rolled around and took the unique control destruction had, and divided it amongst 3 specs. giving all 3 specs access to shadowfury i’ll never forgive. as well as just having a CC tier in general on the talents is just awful. I didn’t like the livelord design, ember tap, and aura mastery. and I don’t like the big lunky chaos bolt design. I feel like they wanted to emmulate the tbc/vanilla/wotlk soul-fire meme, but to try and design the class around it was just a huge misstep.

But I get where you’re coming from. I personally find what they did to lock from WoD to now to be the worst thing ever.

I’m still mad that immolate is a targeted cast instead of an omni cast as of wod. I literally can’t play warlock anymore because of how ugly everything is visually. I log in i cast a spell i log out triggered.

Dont’ get me wrong. I’ll take MoP destro over WoD or legion or bfa destro any day of the week.

i’ll just take cata, wotlk, tbc, or vanilla over MoP.
