Affliction a small step forward but so much work to do

You turned The War Within (TWW) into WWI???
…you do know that within is one word, right?

Again, ad hominem. None of us are quite sure you have an understanding of complicated words though so it’s use may be lost on yourself.

I mean you’re the one hiding on a low level toon.

It’s ironic you need to insult me because it’s clear you don’t have an understanding of the game.

my vote is to remove malefic rapture for good!

It’s clearly not going anywhere so it might be time to accept and adapt.

OMFG GATEKEEPING IN 2024, BUDDY?

I can’t stand MR, it’s such a thematically boring spell to me. Really feels like it’s there to spend shards and be a maintenance spell. Just not a fun press imo.

I hope they have more in store for Aff because, again, there isn’t a lot of flavor in the spec tree. It’s literally like eating ramen without the flavor packet atm. Every other spec (warlock or other) is spiced with loads of flavor. But aff? Nope. Nothing but random increases to crit chance/dmg and amps to Rapture.

I’m not gonna design the game for Blizzard, but would really like something more.

I think the last round of changes has afflic feeling very good to play. yes there are a few more chages I would like such as pruning or 1-2 more 2 point talent nodes, and make soul rot for soul harvester a 30 sec cd. out side of that its in a good spot pending good tuning of damage

Heroic talents would be better suited if the tree only interacted with the spec’s “baseline” abilities/passives. but it only works if it is “optional” in the specialization tree It’s a strange approach

Idk, what about Soul Flame? Dread Touch/Doom Blossom? Haunted Soul? Wrath of Consumption? Soul Swap? Flavor removed?

Or what about a talent that increases Agony’s duration (smoothening out AoE)? Or the classic talent that made Drain Soul/Haunt refresh your dots? Extra spice not added?

I also think it’s a mistake to remove Seed of Corruption being the main AoE spender. The spell has been super iconic since TBC.

Also, Oblivion? EWWWw. Out of all the “spriest-like” spells I’d rather have it where DoTs spawned some shadow demon like how Idol of Yog/C’Thun works.

The one spell from affliction i would love to see removed is Malefic Rapture!.

I loved Harvest Life – especially because at that point, Drain Life was absurdly powerful; so toggling it into an AOE at no decrease in power was just insane and felt amazing to deal with crowds and basically never die because of the healing lmao
