Aff nerfed again

  • The effectiveness of Demon Skin’s armor bonus is no longer reduced by 50% in PvP combat.

  • Demonic Resilience now reduces the damage taken by your primary pet by an additional 67% in PvP combat.

  • Affliction

    • Malevolent Visionary damage reduced by 30% in PvP combat.

    • Shadowbolt Volley damage reduced by 25% in PvP combat.

    • Soul Harvester: Wicked Reaping damage reduced by 20% in PvP combat.

    • Soul Harvester: Soul Anathema damage reduced by 20% in PvP combat.

    • Soul Harvester: Demonic Soul damage reduced by 20% in PvP combat

I wonder what game blizzard is playing. Certainly isnt this one

Blizzard doing the based thing for once and bringing Warlocks in line with other classes.

In line? I cant even apply ua to more then one target because its damage is reduced by 60% and with that healers just spam dispel the one ua thats out now. Corruption and agony damage are a joke and shadow bolts hitting people for 350k was apparently to much that it warranted another 20% nerf

You are just going to go Hellcaller now and it will all be ok.

I can’t speak for Arenas, but Affliction is amazing in BG Blitz and those nerfs don’t seem overkill.

And most of them are targeting SH, Hellcaller is still really good too.

To be honest I think a lot of people are overlooking the survivability buffs.

  • The effectiveness of Demon Skin’s armor bonus is no longer reduced by 50% in PvP combat.

This comes out to be a roughly 5% buff against physical damage which is quite helpful.

  • Demonic Resilience now reduces the damage taken by your primary pet by an additional 67% in PvP combat.

This seems quite massive and I think our pet is unkillable since an additional 67% in PVP combat means that our pet takes ~80% reduced damage in PVP. Which TBH means it’s unkillable, so now Soul Link will reduce all the damage we take by 10% and we can have access to Devour Magic and other sorts of tools with pets being viable again.

In PVP you’re probably running Grim of Sac though as Affliction.
Good change for Demo though.

Don’t worry. They want to ensure our multi-dot damage is the same as classes that do single-target damage.

If warlocks go hit a dummy they will see how minimal Grim of Sac contributes to the damage. So having a 10% damage reduction is going to be worth it.

Additionally having a pet means you get devour magic spam every 10 seconds and can stop the healer from drinking or kick them while sitting in CC.

Uhhhh did you even watch AWC?

Aff’s pressure is beyond stupid.

Back to Marksman for pvp

Uh i saw a warlock die in the opener. Did any warlocks win the tourney ?

They got second, 3-4 and almost won, and they buffed lock survivability.

But that aside, Blizz doesn’t tune based on….what takes first in a tournament lol.

Yea i mean i guess long hell caller games with a pet will be the move now. RIP affy single target build

To be fair, and this is PURELY speculation as I didn’t poll the community or anything, but it seems most people prefer that type of aff.

Tanky, rot attrition.

Yea i mean i dont mind it but single target affy was nice. Playing hellaller atm in ss and its deff doing a lot of dmg with the right gear. It benefits more from crit with wither

Oh yeah crit stack wither does ridiculous damage.

Lock just has so much to support crit.

10% from all sources in class tree.

10% from all sources in caller tree.

30% crit damage in aff tree.

10% to dots in aff tree.

It’s definitely the stat.
