Hi there, seeking advice on two topics.
I am a retuning player with average skill that is struggling in Arenas.
In 2v2 as soon as I feel like I am making progress my 1200ish team gets hit with 1550 to 1850 teams usually 3 or 4 in a row. My team has half epics and these guys all seem to have way better gear.
Question 1 :- what causes this weird match making? Are there just no noobs like me to fight?
Question 2 :- I play healer in solo shuffle and often I get 1 elite DPS that wins 6-0 so I lose rating 3-3 or I get a dps that gets smashed 0-6 and here I also lose rating.
How do healers progress when a good or a bad dps has a big say in the outcome?
Your mmr (skill rating that isn’t the up front rating) is matched against other healers (when you are playing healer as you mentioned). If they’re a decent amount lower it expects you to win by more just one round ahead of them. If you tie with a lower rated healer it sees you as being on their level so you lose rating.

That’s because the system just tries to get you in a game to avoid long queue times.
I recent read somewhere that they’re aware of the issue and will be working on it.

How do you win the extra one when 1 dps is very good ir very bad?
6 people get a say in the fight and 2/3 of them are the dps.
You have to out perform the other healer and carry that really bad dps to a win.

In the past 2v2 was the primary casual rated bracket and everyone played it. But nowadays nobody plays it but the hardcores (because casuals only play shuffle), therefore rating is very deflated compared to before. 1.8k is like 2.1k before

This is because your MMR is still around the placement games MMR and oftentimes very good players who just started the season get placed in your lobbies and they 6:0
