Advance Profession Respec in TBC

I have heard from some websites that there is a way in TBC to respec your advanced profession for about 100-150g (such as going from swordsmith to macesmith). I have also heard from other websites that this came not in TBC but in wrath. Can anyone confirm on if this is in the beta, or if this was in tbc. I really don’t want to relevel blacksmithing again so any help on this topic would be great.

AFAIK you can unlearn a profession the same way you can in classic; using narian soothfancy in tanaris to dump the specialization, and then relearning the prof from 1 skill.

Yes, this existed in TBC. I want to say it’s 120g per respec. I respec’d my tailoring frequently throughout TBC. It can be done right in Shattrath City. Narain Soothfancy is not the NPC you want for this. You need to speak with the appropriate profession trainers in Shattrath/Outland.

the pro move is to take alch potion master since the quest is cheaper than the other 2 specs. Then you swap it and still come out ahead gold-wise

and u can craft both the stun mace and the lion blade if ur a rich warrior

Apparently at least for the Weaponsmithing professions you can go to the trainers in Winterspring and unlearn the advanced profession for 50g, and learn a different weaponsmithing profession from its respective trainer instead of fully unlearning and releveling the profession.

Yes, you can swap and it is in the beta atm.

I dunno how to copy an embedded video from another forum thread so…

Check “Brick’s beta notes”. Bricklethumb posted a video answering this same question when i asked. It’s even saved at the relevant timestamp. Guy in beta swaps between tailoring professions for 50g to unlearn one and another 20g to learn another.
