People who find it boring are people who are fundamentally bad at using it and using the logic “well you need talent’s to make it fun” is a glue sniffing take since that’s how pretty much every build defining abilities work for every spec and every class in this game.
Stormstrike becomes boring if you don’t take 9 talents for it just like how Lava Lash is boring if you don’t take 6 talents for it.
How complicated is Primordial Wave? Press the button, your next Lightning bolt becomes relevant. My god, the complexity.

But all that doesn’t happen if you’re not taking certain talents, hence why it’s a glue sniffing take to say “its boring unless you take talents for it” because every ability is like that.
If you’re playing Storm build then Pwave is a boring ability. If you’re playing Elementalist then DRE is a boring ability.
You saved the buff until you could cleave the Lighting Bolt, which at that time Primordial Wave was off CD so you could immediately do it again.

Nah just like playing the game in a fun way. And messing around with abilities in an interesting sequence and utilizing multiple interactions in a spec’s talent build is fun and interesting. High numbers help but if the loop is satisfying then thats what matters.
It’s why I love Pwave for Enhancement and find Ele’s version of Pwave to be the worst thing on the planet.
