no your parroting blizzard’s PR spin. I don’t care if you disagree, I do care that you sounds like customer service.
Candle doesn’t care about all that. He doesn’t think about the what ifs, he just does what HE thinks is safe. He’ll kill someone some day.
maybe you should be telling them to speed only where it is safe, I go with the flow of traffic which is the safest speed in traffic, if the speed limit is 60, but traffic is moving at 73, the NTSB says to go at 73, because your putting yourself in danger by going slower than the flow of traffic, and of course if your a first responder you already know this. I only break laws when its safe to do, and would cause no risk to myself or others.
You don’t know when its always “safe to do so”…that is why they are called “accidents”.
to elaborate my point, you only defend their statement, and demand we accept it without complaint. You offer no input besides a blanket defense of blizzards post, and you mimic their thoughts in your own post. You offer no input on the actual conversation, and if your intent is to actually engage in conversation than by all means do so, but to anyone that’s read what you’ve wrote its been a rephrased parroting of the blue post which we can all read. Feel free to debate, but right now that’s not what your doing, and your not really representing the community at all.
Speeding is NEVER a good idea. You can NEVER know when it is safe to do so. And I’m not talking about 5-10 KPH over the limit (Adjust for MPH if you wish) Regardless of weather conditions, ANYTHING can happen to change your car’s trajectory. Even the most confident and skilled drivers get into accidents because they lose control.
This somewhat true - it depends on the driver. Many drivers (new and experienced) are INexperienced at driving at speeds exceeding those that obey posted limits. Pushing a driver to exceed those is QUITE dangerous.
Again, there is no way to know when it is actually safe to do so.
because people are careless and stupid, when I was speeding was on a stretch of I20, before they raised the speed limit from 60 to 75, and yes they raised the speed limit because they realized it was perfectly safe to do so, and the red light i was leaving work, I knew the area, I had driven it 5 days a week for 4 years, i was getting off work early, and considering that intersection is in a residental neighborhood, the fact it wasn’t a flashing traffic light at that time of the night made no sense, because in all reality it should have acted as a stop sign at that time of night, and likely didn’t because it would cost the city and extra 20 bucks to program that function in.
You pretend the community 100% thinks the way you do. They don’t. We don’t. Some do sure, but many people like leveling. You’re not here to debate. You’re here to pretend your way is the way.
Leveling with others is detrimental to your own leveling speed, as mob xp is shared with party members. A nice change would be to increase the group xp gained for killing normal mobs so grouping with people for normal quests isn’t crap.
Well I’m sorry the NTSB, which is the body that oversee’s American road ways, says its always best to go with the flow of traffic or to exit the road way to a slower one if you feel unsafe at those speeds. Traffic data they’ve collection also show that your 5x more likely to get in an accident going slower than the flow of traffic than going faster than it, this is all public data they’ve compiled, and is their recomendation for road safety in America. Now this is way off topic
No i dont think they all day, but I do understand that the anti boosting crowd is the minority, that isn’t rocket science, and I do think they are approaching this entirely wrong. If they wish to end boosting, then give us RDF, don’t force us into the terrible leveling zones, and don’t go nerfing the ability to farm dungeons for raw gold, thats just assanine, because as it stands outside of tanks good luck farming for gold now.
Not sure how you came up with that conclusion from my posts, but don’t let me stop you from seeing links between what I said and what Blizzard said where there are none.
How many people on Community Council have cleared SWP in classic tbc? Serious question
Cool, now you can’t even get friends/guildies to help you grind XP during awful dead zones of leveling.
Now your only option is mindlessly grinding through quests, and maybe if your super lucky, you might get a dungeon group once every 20-30 levels, to mix up the monotony.
This plus the RDF changes just cements my idea that blizzard wants leveling to be so absolutely god awful they hope you will just buy your way to level 70 to skip it all.
Ridiculous. “Spirit of Classic” indeed.
You can easily farm gold outside of dungeons, unless you’re lazy, but I don’t care about people farming old dungeons for gold, at least they are actually playing the game.
I agree with one point you mentioned:
- We should have RDF, the real wrath DF that prevents additional player discrimination by players. The fact that we’ll have gear score is bad enough.
Honestly, the zones are super easy to level in if you’ve done them many times and they become quite fast…I mean Barrens for example…goes super fast if you do the laps. Searing Gorge is a blur…even STV is fairly fast…not as fast as AFK boosting I’m sure, but hopefully that will change.
nah they are quite slow, ive done them enough, last time i tried to quest i fell asleep from boredom while trying to get through westfall again, woke up a few hours later with drool in my keyboard, thats when I decided to start a 2nd account and just boost with my paladin.
As for outside farming, sure you can but its alot less GpH than dungeon farming plain and simple. Take my paladin doing stratholme, that nets me a solid 300 GpH, you don’t get that in outside farming, ive heard mages can do even better with slavepens and slabs farming even without boosties, I’ve heard they can get 600-700 raw gold per hour just from trash drops, thats now about to be gone. At least I’ve got my paladin, so I can keep farming raw gold, not sure what I’ll farm at 80, but I’ll find something nice with a good gold return, unless blizzard decides to make mobs stop taking damage after a set amount of time.
then again I’ll also start farming ZG and Molten Core again like I did in OG wrath.
I don’t know the other Community Council Members personally so I don’t know.
Sooo many laaaaaaaaazy people in this thread. Stop complaining about this and level an alt without boosting.
Yeah, they should nerf that, that’s some obscene GPH for little to no effort. Same with the old raids.
Westfall is one of the easiest to finish fast. Perhaps you havent leveled enough characters to know.
Let’s see in retail I’ve got 28 alts, all leveled between TBC and Mists, I think ive got plenty of experince, plus another 6 or so toons between 22 and 70 in Classic. As for nerfing that gold, maybe you missed it but there is a 20k gold sink, and then the 8.5k ring, ontop of cold weather flying. You need the ability to farm that kind of raw gold if you want to compete.
