Except that’s not what it is for nor what your subscription is for, so your point is moot.
What right do you have to determine what subscriptions absolutely are for or not for.
The twitch app rocks, you can update all, not sure about classic addons yet. But sure it will work same as live.
Edited: plus wait till the add on creators update them for Classic
I don’t. I just use what Blizzard says, and that is strictly server access.
I’m pretty sure most WoW PvP tournaments don’t allow addons. You’d be wrong then.
This belongs in general discussion.
Okay so give me access of addons from their own servers.
You have to ask Blizzard directly, as Blizzard does not agree that it is their job to provide you with addons.
So you are speaking for blizzard, im saying it should be blizzards job.
Yes I agree, I never seen feedback from Blizzard themselves, covering Addons. I go by search results and what other players use ( videos, Streams ) etc
lol This your first Blizzard rodeo? We’ve been downloading off site since Vanilla. Don’t like it? Tough. And the sites are quite trustworthy now compared to 15 years ago.
Quit being worried over nothing.
Go ahead, I’m not speaking for Blizzard. Blizzard has never said addons were their responsibility. If you go to the UI & Macros forum I think that’s even a sticky.
Curse was the number one used addon sharing source, now its Twitch by going to Mods, you select the game you play, and you can get the addons.
But this is for live versions I am speaking of, not for Beta.
Why is it to much to ask that all changeable ingame setting should be made available from blizzard. The creator and providers of the game who is getting paid to do this stuff. How can you say it shouldn’t be their responsibility to provide me with this stuff?
Because there are so many different addons for every single little thing that there’s no way Blizzard can control them all individually. And nobody really wants them to, as that would stifle the ingenuity of authors.
I want them to because ingeutive authors are creating addons that give them in game advantages. At this point we arnt playing World of warcraft we are playing World of Warcode.
I mean that’s kind of the point of some of those addons. Others have people making one of twenty different cosmetic addons that just add personal flair, for example.
It would be way to much of a load on the game, and with 2nd party addons there is more flexibility.
Plus addons is usable, but its something Blizzard does not hire for, it costs money to support a staff to oversee addons alone.
Compare other monthly subscription rates. $15 is a PREMIUM price, its obvious that addons should be something blizzard hires for. All addon should be available from blizzard and the authors getting paid for them.
$15 compared to what? Most games are $15, or have different monetary systems. Blizzard isn’t responsible for addons because they’re not allowed to release the wide variety of addons that are available. A lot of them change the base game, which is just … counter-intuitive to their own development.
