Addons Causing Constant WOW51900319 disconnects?

For unknown reasons, I have been getting instantly disconnected every few minutes for the last few days, with the WOW51900319 disconnect error. I have never experienced disconnects this frequent or severe before, and have been trying to see if the issue is on my end. In trying the recommended steps on the help article, I thought I had narrowed it down to an issue with my interface, particularly with Elvui, but after completely uninstalling and deleting my entire WoW folder (including Interface, Cache, and WTF), I am still having the same issue after reinstalling WoW and fresh versions of all my previously non-conflicting addons (namely ELvui, Threat Plates, World Quest Tracker, and Miks Scrolling Combat Text).

If I rename the WTF, Cache, and Interface folders to force the game into default state, it seems to run stable, but as soon as I get my addons up I start to experience the same constant disconnects every 1-3 minutes.

Has anyone else experienced this? I really don’t want to play without my addons, even if it is stable. I have spent years creating a layout that I am reasonably happy with, and have had years of stable playtime with it. It doesn’t make sense to me why they would suddenly (literally overnight) make the game unplayable. Thanks.

When you get it to run stable, try adding one addon at a time to see which one is causing the issue. You would need to take up said issue with the author of the addon though, as it is up to them to fix any issues with them. Just recently, there has been an issue with DBM, and BBF addon actually took the function of right clicking out of looting or skinning/mining/herbing.

Getting this error now
and I wasn’t until after I bought “The Celebration Collection”. Looking in the logs directory, I am getting a ton of invalid ID errors. No addons, deleted the WTF/Cache folders and did a Scan and Repair

Maybe its just me

You need to delete the WTF, Interface, and Cache folders, not just the WTF and Cache.

Hey there Infinitea,

We appreciate you taking the time to provide these details and updates! Considering the troubleshooting that you’ve already tried, it seems that the disconnects are not isolated to an Interface nor addon issue. If you continue to experience these disconnects, our best option will be to have you run a ‘WinMTR’ network test while a disconnect occurs in-game so that we can further investigate potential network-related issues between your computer and the game server. Here are the instructions:

  1. Download the tool from this page
  2. Enter the game IP into the “host” field. The IP address for our games are listed on the WinMTR instructions page
  3. Start the test and play the game for at least 15 minutes. Ensure a disconnect happens while the WinMTR tool is running.
  4. After recording the problem data, click “export text” and save the WinMTR file in an easy to find location.
  5. Once you have that made, open the file. You’ll need to copy and paste the contents of the Text document into the post, and put four Tilde (~) marks above the WinMTR. It’ll look like this:
WinMTR goes here

If you have issues pasting here, please use Pastebin and post the link (ex: Pastebin (dot) com/123456).

Hey Infinitea!

Thanks so much for taking the time to run that WinMTR test and posting the result. The test shows no conclusive evidence as to why you’d experience these consistent disconnects, as only a single packet was lost throughout the course of the several minutes the test was running – which certainly shouldn’t cause the disconnects you’ve described. With that, it is safe to assume that this paired with the wired Ethernet test is enough to conclude that the problem is not isolated to the WiFi connection.

However, to safely eliminate something specific to your home network as the culprit, can you temporarily test an alternate network such as a mobile hotspot or VPN? This will help you quickly determine whether the issues are network-related or isolated to something on the machine.

After testing for the last 30 minutes over my mobile hotspot, I haven’t had a single disconnect. All my previously stated addons are enabled. I’ve logged in and out to multiple characters for several minutes in multiple zones. So I’m assuming the issue is most likely my ISP in some way, but I’m interested as to how my addons seem to exacerbate things on my normal connection.

I’ll also add that I’ve tested another game (Final Fantasy 14), during the same disconnect window, and only WoW experiences disconnects. FF14 stays stable without any indication of dropped connection.

If it is my ISP in some way, I’m unsure as to how I can go about resolving a connection issue with one specific game and nothing else.

Edit: To add a second update, I am not experiencing any disconnects over VPN as of yet. Hoping I can find a solution for my default connection though. I don’t want to have to play only WoW over a mobile hotspot or constant VPN.

I’m having exactly the same issue as you. Were you able to find out what was causing it?

For me it seems that not loading Elv ui at the start and then reloading ui after i log into my charcter is the only way to solve this. Elv Ui seemed to be the problem for me but only on my main which is really weird. Ever since i loaded elv after i logged in its been better. This happened for a month straight over and over it was so annoying so I feel your pain.

Any news? does anyon knows how to fix this? I started to having this issue yesterday
it continues today. I deleted de cache, interface and WTF folders. No addons, no previous configurations
still getting disconnected every 1-3 minutes. Sometimes I get disconnected as soon as I log in. I followed instructions, so here is my WinMTR if anyone can help me

Hey, I started having the same problem yesterday afternoon. I get the disconnects even with brand new folders (Cache, interface and WTF) and no addon running. I have noticed that the Battle.net app keeps disconnecting from time to time even with WoW closed. Any insights from the support team?

having exactly the same issues, i called my ISP and the told me they didnt change anything, and if im having issues with one game company, they have to check on their side

The problem starts in this quoted text. This is a hand-off between two nodes owned by Ufinet. These are routing centers used to route the game data from your home to our game servers.

Since Ufinet is not your internet service provider, this means that they are a peer network. A peer network is used because local providers cannot map the world by themselves. All providers on earth use peer networks.

To resolve this please contact your internet service provider and let them know of the issue. They can reach out to their peer network to investigate the issue. Keep in mind it can take a great deal of time for the two companies to work together in resolving an issue like this one.

I wish we had a more direct solution here but I do hope the info helps. If there’s anything else you might need just let us know.

Thank you for the answer. It is actually really helpful information, because now I can contact my ISP and tell them about this.

As stated in the post I made (Repeated disconnections ) it clearly is a problem with the one of the nodes between Latin American connections and the WoW servers, since after using a VPN (lent to me by a friend) located in the US the disconnection problems disappeared.

Not to mention that the only change in my addons before all this started on Thursday was the DBM update
but I tried with a character that doesn’t have that addon enabled and even then I was disconnected promptly.

Also, I think it’s naive to suggest us to contact our ISP if there’s people from many countries having the same issue: Chile, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, etc

I don’t think it’s a coincidence.

I don’t think its an addon issue as others have reported this issue. I too am having this issue with the 319 error and I disabled all addons. If you set in the login screen for too long gives me the same error. I don’t have to log into a realm to get the error. Can you guys confirm that this is the same for others?? Just log in to where you see your toon and wait for about 5 min and see if you get the 319 error.

UPDATE I have tested the PTR, Classic and beta they all work as intended. the only one I’m having an issue with is retail wow. Hope this helps.

Hello! Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Since 9.1 launch, I’ve been having this issue.

This thread suffered from a multitude of people posting about different issues.

I’d suggest creating a new one and including a description of the problem you have for the sake of clarity.

Hey there,

Going to close out this thread due to the age of it. Though I’d be happy to help go over what I can on this topic.

If the problem is as the title suggests (addons causing disconnects,) the solution would be to disable the addon causing the problem and let the creator of the addon know of the issue. Our support staff does not have any way to support addons created by a third party.

I do hope the info helps. Cheers!
