Addon to help pick unobtained parts to build a set?

Most of the addons ive used at great at managing looks you have already found.

What im looking for is something that helps me find the looks Id like to obtain.

Say, if I wanted to build a set of all green pieces, being able to visually look through parts to find those green pieces, with info on where they might come from/drop.

Does something like this exist?

Looking in Appearances in the base UI, you can browse all the stuff you don’t have and most will let you shift+click to track the item so you can remember to go get it and even have a direction pin to the instance you need to go farm. That paired with the add on “All The Things” is what I use to find stuff. ATT will tell you much more nitty gritty info about exactly how to obtain various appearances, and has a little list of quests and their rewards per zone. Hope that helps!

the base UI handles sets well from raids

Im looking for anything, crafted gear, random drops etc.

Does “All the Things” addon show you visual previews of the items you can sort through?

Probably not in the way that you want. You can pull up a list of the zone you’re in and it’ll show what the rares drop and what the quests give you and you can ctrl+click those to see the appearance, but it’s not just a window showing you all the appearances in a pretty visual way.

Maybe MogIt? I haven’t used that in a long time so I’m not sure what it’s like these days. But before the in-game UI showed the appearances the way it does now that’s what I used to use.

Does anyone have a resource to look through unlearned cosmetic appearances? The base UI and wowhead lookup does most of the other stuff fairly well.

I saw a recommendation in another Transmogs forum thread for this addon:

https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/better-wardrobe-and-transmog

The feature list of which includes a lot of improvements in sorting and displaying pieces and sets.

Looks like it’s being maintained (most recent update about a week ago).

I don’t use it so I can’t vouch for it, but the writeup sound promising.

I haven’t used better wardrobe and transmog for a while, but it does show unlearned cosmetic pieces, thank you. (It doesn’t play nicely with Transmog Outfits, that allows me to have a larger saved list of outfits.)
