While addons undoubtedly add depth and variety to gameplay, I’ve noticed that some players, myself included, prefer a more classic and straightforward approach to gaming. By introducing servers without addons, we could provide an alternative space for players who crave that traditional experience.
I understand that this is a suggestion rather than a demand, and I’m hopeful that the community and the development team could engage in a constructive discussion about the feasibility and potential benefits of such servers. Perhaps we could explore ways to make this idea a reality while ensuring it aligns with the overall vision for the game.

What’s stopping you and like minded players from forming an addon free community within the existing game?
Seems like you’re asking for extra work to be done when the solution is already available.

All NOPE and nothing else. I use primarily utilty mods to make play simpler for me that are nothing like the heavy hitters use for serious raid and PVP content. You want to not use addons? By all means go for it, nobody’s stopping you. Insisting everyone else play your way though is a bit over the top.

Grabbing a controller, bumbling though the levels, buying strategy guides, having no internet and having FPS so low that it can technically classify for seizure warnings?

Or you can just not have addons installed and let everyone else play their own way.

So problem #1 is that the content is designed with add-ons in mind. Removing addons at the top level of content where it matters would break that balance.
So you can’t just flat out remove addon without changing design philosophy
Also, add-ons are not all the same. Using bartender isn’t the same as using GTFO

I wish blizzard would adopt square enixs anti addon policy.
You install addons and you get banned. Turn off all addons. And watch the community change over night.

They have banned some streamers for addon use.
Yoshida explicitly stated that no addons are allowed in his game.

People can still do it, they just don’t advertise it to the world.
