Could anyone recommend a decent addon that changes how the base UI for profs looks like?
I find the current tbc prof UI to be too clunky
I like TSM. It shows how much it costs to craft things (assuming you have updated AH info), and how much profit you’ll make crafting.
Let’s say you want to make two types of potions, and 50 of each. You can queue up several tasks, make shopping lists and have the AH populate just those items and remind you how many you need of each herb to produce those items, set things to auto sell to a vendor if you’re crafting a ton of greens if you’re leveling a profession, etc.
It has a search box, filters, etc. Most of this without any configuration. You can swap to the default UI when you want with the click of a button.
It’s not the prettiest, but it is extremely useful compared to the default UI.
I think that is what you’re asking about at least? When you open, say, the Alchemy Profession menu, it has been altered by TSM.
I make 75% or more of my gold by crafting or having others craft. This eliminates the need to make spreadsheets etc. to keep track of average prices, how many I can get away with selling in a day, etc. to make the same decisions. It saves a lot of time. The learning curve isn’t too bad, but the possibilities of what you can do with it can end up being extremely complex.
