Adding Transmogrification Early

Exactly. As in not productive or useful.

I don’t know if you’re new to this forum but most posts here are unproductive and not useful. People like to share their thoughts and opinions on a subject relating to the game. If you’re looking for useful and productive, you can disregard probably over 75% of this entire forum.

Also a reminder again, regardless how either of us feel Blizzard will do what it does. Even if I agreed with you, it does NOT matter. Even this TOPIC doesn’t matter. Why? Because Blizzard has taken resources away from Classic. They’re not adding more new features. While yes that feature already exists in future expansions, it doesn’t exist here, they have to implement it into Wrath. This means spending resources, something they are already heavily struggling to do. That then makes this entire thread a waste of space.

While we’re adding features, why not add battle pets too? What about personal loot? What about retail BG’s/Arenas? It only adds value!

I’m the opposite. I’ve been making threads since before the game came out. Yes of course we get clowns posting idiotic threads, or trolls irritating those who are trying to say something useful, but that doesn’t make it welcome here.

1: That’s not true. They have made changes to Classic, just not useful ones. A number of balance changes, along with a pointless alteration to a warlock quest involving a gay romance. They’ve already defiled Classic, at the very least they can do something useful. And my ideas have been implemented before.

Yes, those are good editions. They do no harm and only improve the game. Why not make classic better.

Because when I get an upgrade or piece of gear I like to see that represented visually on my character, I like to be able to know other’s equipment based on how they look rather than their cosplay. It’s personally the final straw that made me quit back in Cata. I don’t want to play dressup, I want to see the gear I equipped.

Now if you want to talk witless why would you spam the forum with this trash? It doesn’t matter if people are for it or not, no one can talk about the game because the forums are full of low IQ trash posts asking for retail features or buffs. People like you have made it completely unusable by flooding it with these braindead posts.

I don’t think we should get it early, it should come in the final phase of Cataclysm Classic, with all the other features of Cataclysm. Game features should come when they were released, making drastic changes so far hasn’t ever improved anything.

They always brought the up to date features instead of going back in time with them just like barber shop and the whole interface UI. The way slowfall works which is legion like and the list goes on.

Transmog would instantly and vastly increase the prices of many low level items.

I don’t entirely disagree with you, the problem is as more things are added to classic more and more people see the door open slightly so they start begging for other things. Some people want this stuff some don’t, so if it’s added the people who don’t want it get all butt hurt. There are loads of additions I’d love to see in wotlk, but I generally don’t ask for them because I know lots of other people wouldn’t want it.

Just seemed like the easiest thing always would’ve been to have released the game exactly as it was warts and all, no one would’ve had room to complain then because it would’ve been an accurate recreation. Now we have class changes so other classes are asking for buffs, asking “why them and not me?” Which is valid at this point. I just think the fewer changes the better in terms of expectations and keeping more people happy.

Love the idea, ive already been saving stuff in my bank!

Then don’t Transmog your gear… Just because you want to represent wearing the latest gear, doesn’t mean the rest of us have to be restricted by your lack of creativity. Whether I drop you in Tirisfal, or the latest ugly gear set, it’ll hurt just as much. Except that I’ll enjoy my custom suit, while you lay dead in your uniform.

Yes I can half agree on this, but then again I’ve had success with these before. Transmogrification was originally my idea, and it got done due to my persistence and the persistence of others who agreed with me. Blizzard was wise enough to see the demand and the benefits of the idea, unlike many “low IQ trash” out there.

hahahahah exactly

I agree, it can be a slippery slope, which is why I didn’t start a thread on removing heirlooms. No matter how much I HATE those things, because they were the begging of the end of WoW, they were a part of Wrath and people will be expecting them. I don’t want any changes that fundamentally alter the game, but I figured Transmog is a small ask and an objective improvement to character customization. I mean why not enjoy Wrath in style?

Personally, I was calling for Transmogrification as far back as the first Rag runs, so I felt it should always have been part of the game by default.

That’s actually why I chose Transmogrification. It’s a minor change that doesn’t affect gameplay, or the spirit of Wrath. It only improves it so that players can showoff their accomplishments from the past few years and express themselves with the customized look they prefer.

I mean, if we want to talk drastic, I would remove heirlooms and update the loot system to modern day, so that there’s no more ninja looters. God I remember being the only hunter in a Sunwell raid and having my legendary bow stolen by a rogue… Let’s face it, some drastic changes are for the better.

It does for PVP. Can’t asses the threat level of your opponent.

Terrible retail addition. Not needed.

You’re thinking like a Horde bully, no surprise there. Usually a quick glance at their hp can tell you all you need to know. Personally, I never lower or raise my guard too much. I incinerate Horde just as ruthlessly regardless of their gear.

It is needed, because this game is all about character customization and gear/mount gathering.

It’s probably one of the least damaging things to add early, but I’m alright leaving it out til/when we get cata.

Selfishly I would like it now so I can hide my Tier 7.5 shoulder, they’re so ugly, wish the 10 and 25 colors were swapped.

Cosmetics like Transmogrification are not really game breaking. I fall into two beliefs currently… Both for and against. The against argument is sorta moot however as they have already made enough changes to this version of the game as to hardly resemble original WotLK… While I do agree with most of them to say we want no changes made now is sorta silly… We don’t want “more changes”… Falling back to the classic feel.

My FOR argument would depend on the eventual release of a Cataclysm classic? However seeing as the Devs removed RDF in favor of the “classic feel” I wouldn’t be surprised if they phased out Transmogrification too…

Oh well…

Exactly!

That’s a fair assessment. I really do get the idea of wanting to keep Classic, classic, but minor quality of life corrections aren’t so bad. Personally, I would have fixed the loot system too. It should never have been the way it was in classic to begin with.

If only Retail would follow the example of Classic and go back to real adventuring. Then we wouldn’t have to go back to the old days just for a good game.

Whos in fear? All signs point to yes.

I’m all for it? I just haven’t heard anything from the Blue since forever now… Lost all kinds of members of the classic team too… Who’s making it?

I have bags full of items in my banks for transmog across multiple characters. It better be in the game by the start of Cata.

The only opposition I ever hear, is from hardcore arena players who will want transmog disabled in arena. I guess because they can’t fight someone without knowing what gear they have equipped? Even though this would work both ways?
