Adding Raider.IO score to WoW

Gotta bite the bullet and do runs that will inflate your score but may not drop gear for you. This is where people go wrong they think I’m ready because IL says so when in reality knowledge of mechanics is their reason for under performing. gotta get experience just like with anything else in life

Exactly this. M+ values experience over everything else.

Makes me wonder how many more people are going to be buying runs to boost their scores just like they are now.

I think this could be a good feature IF they added in how many dungeons people left prematurely.

That won’t work though. People will just go afk until someone else quits.

yea that too but thus player driven issue still. people needa play their class not the spec if your class can heal/tank you should learn it for these situations makes pugging a lot easier. as for brez i’ve seen groups not have a brez give or take what the tank meta is lust usually they will have in the form of hunter, shaman, mage.

drums you can also use but i think it was what a 5% less haste so yea it is somewhat noticeable.

Imagine trying to get through life with this attitude. It’s a wonder you ever get anything done.

If this were true we wouldn’t have such an imbalance. Drums only give 15% haste vs real heroism gives 30% haste. If drums were 25% it would be noticeable but not a deal breaker. At 15% the drums are pointless and you are just required to bring a real heroism spec

I’m not so sure about that. I have seen people encouraged to actually work the system and participate, the ones on GD just refuse to do so. There are still people at all levels running keys. Have many moved up? Naturally. I help people in my guild with low low keys, so I know they are out there. I see them in lfg before I filter results. The problem comes in right here:

Would I suddenly get declined if I applied to 17s? Constantly, I haven’t cleared anything near that. Is that fair? Absolutely.
That’s what many do–q above their current level (or not realize they are not the only dps in q) and refuse to build it up or run their own key. This person says they are pretty new to mplus and they are doing fine on more than one character. I suspect because instead of playing the victim, they set a reasonable goal and worked to achieve it just like many of us that pug. The steps are there for all. It is up to the individual to take them. It’s no one’s responsibility to pick them up and carry them . The sooner people realize that in order to get what you want, you might actually have to contribute, the better everyone around them will be. Yeah, it’s a game. It’s also played by humans with the same human behaviors. Just like many won’t hang around the downer who never buys their own lunch, drives, or pays for gas etc.–you tend to get back more the more you put in.

Nah, it’s not that drastically different…maybe at super highs. I’ve not had a problem, people in guild list them and fill them without problems. The majority of them don’t do much above a 5, 99% are dps classes. Horde is more involved no doubt, but it’s not impossible as they’d have you believe.

Said much clearer and shorter! Well done.

No, not typically. I’m doing mostly 11,12 on alli and I play some odd hours. There is a dip in very early morning, but it picks up quickly again in no time. Simplest thing? LiSt YoUr KeY. Assuming this is the account you play on, have you timed all the 5s? No achieve for all 10s-- Perhaps that keeps you out of the 10-14 range in itself?

My long if rambling point exactly.

Whenever I have a mage in our group I always take those yummy cakes…even though I don’t need them

You are correct, I did what most normal people would do, and not only made my own groups, but joined other groups with key levels that were around 2-3 higher than my highest completed for that dungeon, which is very reasonable.

I got every dungeon timed to around a +10 (after having a lot of 7-9s), then pushed my own key to a +12. After that I started joining other +12 keys because I’ve not only timed my own on a different dungeon, I have +10s timed for every dungeon. Rinse and repeat and now everything is sitting around a 14 with one +15.

It’s really not that hard to find likeminded players to play with that are looking to improve. The issue is people expect to be accepted to a group that is not only way above their experience, but they refuse to make their own groups for their own keys.

The best thing ever watching is these players (I know a couple people like this) complain about RIO/M+, and then they finally make their own groups and decline people left and right for lack of experience. The hypocrisy is hysterical.

Same. I pretty much never use them anymore since I am only doing 10+ so prideful is enough but… I still want the cakes!

This is an imaginary issue. Their real problem is they want to skip gaining experience and be included in difficult content with equivalent rewards without learning.

Most of the time you get rejected because there are too many applicants and you applied too late. Then you are getting rejected because you are the wrong class or role and they already have someone filling that class or role. But these rejections are happening to everyone not just the casual.

There are already a ton of reasons you might not get picked. Applying to groups far above your experience level is a great way to ensure you will never get picked.

It’s not hard to raise your io score(experience), you just do keys that you haven’t done and only go up incrementally. Stop trying to jump from a 3 to a 10. If you have 5/8 dungeons completed at 5, and 3/8 completed at 0, focus on getting those 3/8 up to 5’s.

I joined, though I still need to learn more to push keys. Classic raiding eats half my game time.

I bet you’re getting tanks and healers because those roles are more enjoyable with voice. The time I need to communicate most on my healer is when everything is going to hell in a handbasket and I can’t type.

Funny, this mage is 194 and a non meta spec and I have pugged 10 or so keys in the past 2 weeks…

Have you tried applying to keys appropriate to your experience on that mage?

You could be right, it just amuses me that we are the scarce ones, and yet…

No one is excluding people from 2’s. The idea that casuals are being excluded from mythic+ is purely fictional.

Only bad players think io score gate keeps players from doing mythic plus

There’s no game progression in timing 2s. KSE, KSC, and KSM are imperatives now. Players’ ability to participate in the content at these key levels is the issue at hand.

I’ve never suggested that they deserve an invite. The fact that they are being readily declined is a real problem and discouraging for them. The solution clearly includes them getting better at the content. They do need to do some research. They also need to do the dungeons which has been difficult to gain access to for many.

The only gatekeeping IO does is imposed on the player by themselves.
