Yeah, this explains a lot.
You know what, you had amazing idea.
Letâs also give some cat ears for blood elves and void elves and undeads and night elves so we all can be uwu purr miqote in WoW world.
They already DO that.
WaitâŚyouâre saying you WANT everything to remain AS IS? So do we!
SHUT DOWN 9.1.5, BLIZZARD.

I know, I like the idea of Half Elves, the High Elf community is just soâŚech, now. Thank you for the link and invite, Iâll be glad to give it a read!
If true, I vote Human ShamansâŚIâd switch my main out immediately, and Iâve been playing him since '05-'06.
I literally scrolled through this thread to find Shadinaâs response.
I was not disappointed.
Also, why do all these people think High Elfâs are a playable race?
Theyâre not.
Blood Elfâs are the closest thing to High Elfâs as a playable raceâŚso why do All since players keep calling Void Elfâs High Elfâs??
Apparently Iâm missing something.
thats not rightâŚpaladin were an alliance thing, neither bloodelf, not high elf, but still an alliance race thingâŚdwarfs, humans and highelfs have paladins back then:
mages were gnomes, highelfs and humans
Hunter were dwarfs highelf and gnomes
Warlock were human gnome and dwarfs
Void Elf paladin? Ehm thatâs just weird.
Night Elf, however, now thatâs spicy AF.
Besides, sparkly space goats FTW.
Blizzard decides the lore. So if they want high/void elf paladins they will do just that. They retcon and change lore constantly no matter what red shirt guy or people on forums say. In fact by changing so many names (needed) is changing the lore. And many hate that but they still doing it.
They decide.
Enjoy partying with them :> itâs a delightful thing to be in for 9.1.5. Convenient gameplay, convenient customization and everything! Itâs the age of devs listening to players like FF14!
Make a flavored Void-style Paladin that uses Void moves instead of Light ones, just change the color and rename some stuff, and call it a day.
Itâs functionally a Paladin but itâs not that in lore. Same way Tauren Sunwalkers class isnât âSunwalkerâ itâs âPaladinâ
Yeah, no, thatâs not how stories works lol, you donât just change things that is built in the universe on a whim like that.
Void elves need more classes, to be able to welcome the new Alliance players, who will be leaving the Horde soon.
Yeah, is this way of thinking why we have the amazing storytelling of Shadowlands.
Actually blizzard has done just that. Which doesnât bother me personally but that is part of the red shirt guy thing
As far as I know, they didnât, not in any major way at least. Classes still represent their history, and creation.
A couple of years back, someone on the forum tossed out the concept of âMoonbladesâ, basically an RP description that allowed Void Elves to be Paladins, similar to the Tauren Sunwalkers.
However, Iâd rather see Night Elves get Paladins, preferably in 9.1.5. Firstly, they deserve a massive win, as well as some compensation for their string of tangible losses, and the nonchalant treatment theyâve received from Elune.
I wasnât joking when I said this thread soured me to anymore Void Elf anything, I donât want to see Void Elves Paladins for a long while, if ever. They can blame the High Elves.
Lightforged Draenei and Highmountain Tauren both need and deserve more classes next.
Maybe cause it was made fun of. But tauren paladin are probably borderline. But itâs mostly cause they are supposed to be sunwalkers and the entire class looks made for humans only and everything else 2nd. Even blood elves back before the light thing was a little weird. They were all fel infused as far as I know. But then much later infused with light.
Donât think even seen tauren paladin in cutscenes or story either as far as paladins go.
Iâd be fine with either but I feel like High Elf Paladin will always be âThat White Whaleâ people will push harder for than Night Elf.
Might as well just get it out of the way before we go through another several year long âWhen will Void elf get xâ.
Iâm just so tired. So very, very tired.
Dark iron seem like good options for paladins and shamans. I have both. The lightforged racials are also pretty good for them. The dwarf racials are good for healing on shamans as they are the same as tauren racials passively.
Void elf paladins will bring honor to the Alliance.
âJust trample all over one of the most iconic classes of the Alliance, bastardize it completely, and give it only to Void Elves, and call it a day.â
I think I got the translation pretty close.
Which is double the funny since the first âHigh Elf Paladinâ proudly carries the label of Blood Elf.
