Add "Trolling" to the chat report feature

You did nothing of the sort. I gave you a Blizzard post that explicitly proves my point. Yall posted a bunch of links of people crying on the forums. Pretty sure theres no equivocation there, but nice try booboo

Actually, the one link he provided was explicitly the subject of the first link I provided. He even shows that page in his video.

Did.

Which coincides the timeline of Johnny’s proving it wrong.

And I posted the 7 month ago update, from Blizz (saying nothing about an investigation) that enough Reports = a Silence.

Back at, ya :kissing_heart:

Is there a button to report excessive linking?

Spam. You’re welcome.

Reported this thread for trolling.

I thought the irony would be amusing.

I think Supertroll wants to make sure they’re not being left out.

Still doesn’t answer my question. That’s OK, it doesn’t need to be answered, right away

Because you drag bait behind your boat?

What bait? I’m merely participating in conversations laid out by other people. If anything, I’m the one chasing these “baits”/feeding “Trolls”.

Which I think the word “Troll” tends to get tossed around so much. I agree with this person:

I agree trolling is: “Fishing for a response”

So, having a conversation? A conversation entails having responses. I really don’t get it :woman_shrugging:

Generally I think it is used as a detractor from the thread topic. Many times its used to inflame. Not saying you because I have been seeing your posts lately and think you are very level headed. Some people say things though that are “fishing for an illicit response” I should have said. Conversation is fine as long as it does not evolve down toxic rabbit holes lol.

I am just giving an explanation of why some would say you are trolling, not that I saw you trolling. I see a lot of people now very confused as to what words mean / their original definition and Trolling is one of them. Trolling is not a monster under a bridge, its a fishing term, and saying “some one is a troll” is confusing the term. Same as “meme spec” a meme has to do with repetition but people confuse the term with “a joke”.

So, if you are dragging bait behind you in order to get some one to respond, then you are trolling. And trolling is not a bad thing, people are confused and mislabel everything now trying to “win” arguments or feel right.

What if someone is offended by you being offended? Maybe you should be banned, too. :salt:

If you’re thin-skinned and it bothers you that badly, just ignore people, or switch to a chat tab with only /p, /g, and /w. Problem solved.

I don’t think we should actually be limiting ourselves to prevent from falling into anybody’s trap. In the end, if someone’s destroying conversation intentionally, it really only shows oneself how bereft of joy one’s life is. What the rest of us think about it is irrelevant.

It’s an odd anomaly that I probably wouldn’t expect to exist outside of the second generation of Internet conversationalists… the ones who were kids at the time adults started talking here.

“Look! I can make these people respond to me! I’m so important.”

Not to say that what you said is not true, but how did you get that from what I said in the quote? I never said anything about limitations or traps. Its just general forum knowledge I thought.
