Add "Trolling" to the chat report feature

The players have the ability to “Squelch” you.

Yep, and then you appeal the squelch to Blizzard, and they decide whether or not it was merited. For the record, if it wasn’t merited, the players who falsely reported are penalized, as stated in Blizzard’s Code of Conduct:

While we encourage you to report players that are behaving in a disrespectful manner, falsely reporting another player with the sole intent of restricting their gameplay is also unacceptable and will result in penalties to your account.

I understand that. That’s not the point. The damage is already done. You can be refrained from speaking, in Public Chat Channels, by the players. The Appealing processes takes some time. While it’s taking its time, you are unable to speak to Public Chat Channels.

Oh, noes!!! Whatever will you do? Honestly, though, how many times has this actually happened to you? It’s happened to me exactly 0 times since 2000 (counting my time on Diablo II on battle.net). If this is a regular occurrence for you, maybe it’s time to start re-evaluating some of your choices.

Exactly. Players get to dictate what you say in the Public Chat Channels LOL

No amount of turning the conversation around to make it all about me changes that.

I did see it happen to a large amount of people, when the premades were trying to force solo queuers out of the battlegrounds.

So, it has at times been abused.

I support this sensible change.

Is this like a “My feelings got hurt so I need some recourse” change?

One thing you got right is it’s “sensible”.

Come on man…Late night LFG chat is hilarious. If you don’t like it then leave the channel. Loosen up, and stop trying to silence people
