Does anyone else think that Blizzard should add back Weapon Skills or more weapon options for classes?
I miss being able to be a hunter with a bow AND a sword or a Warrior with an axe and a gun. I know there are others like Paladin with relics, etc but does anyone else think these should be added back?

I’d be for it. It was way cooler.

I wouldn’t mind bringing back melee/ranged slots as two different slots again.
I don’t see the need for weapon skill to be a thing again, though. It already barely serves a purpose in Classic as it is.

Weapon skills? HELL NO!
I do not want to run around leveling up a new weapon every time I get a replacement. I do not want to whiff 99% of my shots until I level that damned skill up.
New weapons for classes? HELL YES!
I want pistols for Rogues and Hunters. I want dual wielding melee weapons for hunters. I want a spec for Hunters that switches between melee and ranged.
Give Warriors the current Marksman spec and give Hunters a Ranger spec. Pet, switches between melee and ranged.
I want way more variety than what we have now.

Funnily enough i was about to add to my original comment to say this very thing. I think survival should use both ranged and melee. Hell, it currently does anyway. It would just make more sense to actually have both weapons equipped. It should be a survivalist. Adaptable to all situations.

I liked the idea of weapon skill for the purpose of having another thing to grind when you dont want to do dungeons or raid, etc. Something you can level while doing professions even if you get another weapon. I see the dislike for it, but just something I’d personally like.
The weapons though, yeah. They need to bring it back. Even if they don’t add abilities to the weapons, its just something nice to have.
Grinds to do outside of progression content(dungeons, raids, etc.) I think is better suited to be cosmetic rewards.
The problem with weapon skill is that it also acted as a barrier to doing that content, because you couldn’t hit anything until you grinded it up. Once you did it could be forever ignored.
Well, unless you were a caster who could just ignore it.
Eww, no. I thought you meant weapons skill in the sense of just being able to equip certain weapons. I assumed there was some example I couldn’t remember. No to the grind. That was crap.
Reintroducing weapon skills is the worst nostalgic idea I’ve seen on here, congrats.

No thank you.
I remember getting unarmed to 400, that was painful.

I’d really like for thrown weapons to be brought back.
Fun fact: I saved a bunch of old throwing weapons in my old Vanilla main’s bank, and still have them even now.
Throwing axes, and some throwing stars from TBC.
It hurts to see them, lol.
They are functionally useless.
weapon skills no
but another range option for a tanks to pull would not hurt. but a grey/white range for the tanks only
Weapon skills just added another autoattack grind, 0 benefit to them existing. A slot 17 for stat stick is equally worthless, those weapons were literally not used. No.
I want a Mage spec that switches between melee and ranged. Give me Battlemage, please!
Weapon skills? no thanks!
No way I’d want to have to level up every new weapon type I change to.
Really think Warriors should be able to use Glaives though.
As a surv hunter, I agree.
Surv also should be able to dual wield as well.

I’d be fine with transmogging them, but I hope they never add strength glaives to the game. We already have Agi glaives for only one class, bow/crossbow/gun for 2/3 hunter specs, and agi daggers for rogue (except outlaw only wants one dagger)
Yea i dont miss hunters rolling on agil daggers
Druids should be able to dual equip 1H maces, daggers, and fist weapons.
