Removing the real good DPS meters was bad. Used to you could catch a bad or cheating healer by looking at the meter for who their heals went to. The cheaters stood out with like 85 to 95% self heals.
The new kruddy meter we got now doesnt do that

Yeah that happens but who cares? This ones about healers and self heals to pad the numbers and make it look like they aint throwing.
yea they really need to add healing recieved to the meters. too many healers complaining about dps being bad while only healing themselves. quick fact “if your dps are dieing and you are not cc’d you are in fact a bad healer”.
I hate the fact that addons are gone and I truly hate Blizz’s new ui. There is nothing I like about the addon removal decision.

What does inflating your healing or dps numbers do outside of that specific match? Seems silly but maybe I’m missing something? I know in pve you can parse to get a raid spot but that’s the extent I’m aware of.
the main issue is that the addon change is causing all the lag in bgs. players have long known that damage meters are cpu intensive, which is what made Details popular in the first place, it ran well when Recount was a bog. moving the damage meter server side and as best i can tell calculating it separately for each player is why teamfight lag is so game breaking in large battles.
and i see absolutely no good reason for this change because while yes getting ones poor meters thrown in their face isn’t fun, that is feedback that one has room for improvement. fake meters with fake numbers are useless to players, it looks like its a damage meter to people who don’t know what a good damage meter is. just like how hackertyper looks like work to a boss that doesn’t know what an IDE looks like.
It lets you finally beat Webdogg for once in your life. And if you reduce your health quickly enough you can also make Webdogg quite worried at the time too as a little treat.
I don’t understand why they went ahead with it when edit mode is such a disaster.
im not seeing the lag you are talking about. granted i run zero addons also.
I miss weak auras. It made the game so much fun and I was a master at making my own rotation aura. They should have hired me to teach people how to use it like a forum thread or something not get rid of it. The new cd manager is terrible
