Yeah, which is the compromise I describe. It’s a necessary one as well, if we’re going to try to solve this issue as a community.
The role system and queue system are the most vital things needed for a group matching system. The queue being the #1 thing imo.
The que is what makes it automated vs organic. The whole argument for lfd is about circumventing the games only form of social communication interface, chat!
If you do that, then why even run RFD after getting past like 3.5k GS (aka Naxx gear)?
Ah yes no LFD, so I can sit through lfg chat with “Lfg < insert dungeon > < Such and such item HR >”
Have you ever tried to cancel a Sirius XM Membership? Jesus, you almost have to threaten them to cancel it. I wouldnt even wish that on my enemy.
That’s literally the grou finder in retail. Which I’m not opposed to having in classic.
That won’t work these days:
- Too many players on the megaservers to keep track of
- Too many players have multiple accounts
- Too many players have multiple high-level/geared alts
We are. Most people talk a bit
Remove yourself from the gene pool first
You think kicking ppl from dungeons isn’t as common in TBCC as it is with the random dungeon finder?
Today a pug warlock dropped a soulwell at the beginning of H MGT and then my guildie kicked him from the group to invite another guildie. And guess what? There’s so many people on this mega server that there’s no repercussions, there’s no black list, no one cares, and there isn’t a big evil RDF tool that made the warlock get kicked.
just go play retail fantasy or something
Wrong.

Sounds like one of those things you go buy a visa “gift card” to put on that lol.
Oh the card is out of money? guess you have to kill it now huh…
No, but I called them to ask them to stop sending me mail, and it took about 5 minutes. It was easy and painless.
It certainly isn’t as common as it is with random dungeon finder. RDF finds a replacement almost instantly, while in TBCC, it would certainly takes more time.
Of course, that’s been my experience. Some sweaty who wants to min-max dungeon runs probably would pull the trigger pretty fast in either methods.
Inv… So much social interaction
They don’t use LFD/RDF. They form the group from known people.
Also people that might compete with you for gear. Or people that you just decided not to like for arbitrary mostly made up reasons.
I was there before LFG and I know the toxicity didn’t just magically appear in the game with the ICC patch.
RDF punishes people who use the vote-kick feature too often by restricting their ability to use it. Sometimes I met people who had to wait six hours before they could initiate a vote-kick. I never had an issue, if I wanted someone gone I could always initiate the vote.
