Add ilvl Requirement to BGs

You are pretty high HL so I don’t doubt you, but I wanted to see some official docs.

Just watch your next few BGs how many below honor level 30 players are in your group. Maybe if someone reading this was under that honor level, they could SS their highest to lowest in each of their BGs.

We should definitely get rid of the honor level brackets and replace them with something more useful. Personally, I’d like to see a Conquest step bracket where you switch from the low bracket to the high bracket when you start getting heroic ilvl Conquest’s Reward gear. Ilvl brackets would be better than what we have now, though.

I’m curious myself actually. I stopped paying attention to honor level when mine became irrelevant and 95% of the future “rewards” were things I earned over a year ago.

Pay attention to them again. It’s the same as in Legion. Under honor level 30 is in their own bracket unless in a premade.

If you have ilvl brackets then all you wil have is people who wear the max ilvl for the lowest bracket and stomp new players.

Be much better to make base ilvl gear easier to get from pvp, to match dungeon speed.

PvP gear scales to x, PvE gear down scales to x.

It’s one thing WoD got right.

Won’t work with the current rng gearing, it’s not likely we will get vendors.

its true the only time u will see someone less then honor level 30 in big leagues is if they group with someone in there

Make it happen! It’s time to add the big boy bracket. 405 ilvl+ games, meta bg builds, rage whispers. :muscle:

I don’t think iLevel is the only measure in this game. I primarily PVP and I have a lot of alts so I constantly get thrown into a bg where I see a level 120 have 70k health vs some 200k plus toons. The range of experience is comical from no Honor level to like 300+ honor level. They created honor levels which is an indication of how much you pvp and I would like to see a Heroic BG category where you have to have say a 50 honor level to enter and gear scaling. At least you are playing with people who theoritically know how a bg works. And you are not getting pwned by some newbie who got a lot of twink gear from running dungeons.

i think this would only exacerbate queue times. new players and super-casuals are already in the sub-30 bracket. also, this would result in max level bracket twinking. my dk is now 399.43. if the cutoff for a new bracket is 400, then i would feel punished for getting an ilvl upgrade because i would go from the top of one bracket to the bottom of another, this would incentivize me to not advance my toon further.

Ilvl matters in a direct fight, which is why you need to get creative when facing a much higher ilvl opponent and outplay them. as Floyln pointed out, you don’t need max performance from your toon to win, you need to play the map and objectives better.

I’m sure that’s what the 126K HP mage and 68K HP druid were thinking when I killed them easily and took their cart in SSM.

“If only we had played this objective better!”

Okay, there are matches where I could strip off all of my armor and equip a gray vendor item weapon and jump around in circles and autoattack people and still “win” the match because my overall team is better than the other team.

Winning a match doesn’t mean you were a significant factor in that win. What is more telling is what happens when that guy with really bad item level has to fight over an objective in a 1v1 or 2v2.

2v1 they definitely could have taken you down if they played better.

Yup they should have. They have two different schools of Dr spammable cc. You shouldn’t have been able to play your character. Then spammable roots after that. 100% on them.

Don’t battlegrounds drop 360 blues? That’s a pretty reasonable base ilvl.

LOL, false.

No. No, it isn’t.

Way better than the 240s some fresh 120s have.

Not really.
