Add dungeon finder to TBC classic

Absolutely blind response, please read above further before commenting.
YOU CAN CHOOSE TO DO WHAT EVER YOU WANT

Yes, yes you can. That doesn’t change the fact that making a dungeon finder will make creating groups yourself nearly impossible. You may be able to “CHOOSE TO DO WHAT EVER YOU WANT” but it will make the experience far more difficult because people will naturally take the path of least resistance.
More people using automatic dungeon finder = less people in the world and less people creating group on their own. You run into the same issues. The choice of the many affects the choice of one.

No. It gives you additional choice. It removes it for other people as Mankrik has described.

Guess what ill be doing if they add dungeon finder? Ill be out there in the world with the rest of the people grinding quests or farming profession mats. Same thing I would be doing without it.
I really hope you didn’t read my original post just to come down here and rehash comments that I’ve already been answering.

I did read your previous posts. My statement stands. Have you seen what happened to retail? Tons of people sit in the cities and spam dungeons. They were taken out of the world and put into the cities until their dungeon pops. Just because you are still out in the world doesn’t mean that hundreds or thousands would be as well.

Having dungeon finder has already proven to have an affect on the world, reducing the people actually out doing things.

People sit in main cities either way so no thats not a point. Retail was ruined by many things.

Yes it literally does. If there is one player like me there will be more just like there will be players like you. You’re pulling strings.

Actually Wrath is when the decline began and it only gained 500k subs over TBC’s massive and constant growth.

According to the numbers and what matters in corporate land… Vanilla > TBC > Wrath in terms of what investors want to see.

Personally I feel like the dungeon finder is part of what ruined world of warcraft and you no longer needed to actually participate in the community to find groups and do dungeons. However, if the only feature of the tool was to help you put a group together that would be alright I guess as long as you still had to travel there and communicate with the group.

Sure. There absolutely are going to be, but it will be a diminished amount. In an MMO you don’t really want to diminish the social experiences that are already out there, which LFD absolutely does.

Please read some of the comments above your comment has already been answered.

You can keep saying that without giving any reasons but that wont change any minds. Your social experience is not mine and nothing is going to stop you from having yours. I guarantee you can make friends in retail if you try even being the terrible system that it is.

Why do you keep ignoring my reasons?

There are my reasons. Stop ignoring them.

So you’re going to ignore what I said? You’re argument is convince. It was nothing more. Nice selective reading.

You’re equating a single server dungeon finder to 4 expansions worth of bad decisions. That’s definitely a you problem

Just because there were a multitude of other bad decisions through the expansions doesn’t mean that this one should be added.

Here you go friend. An objectively beneficial aspect of dungeon finder. Afking in dungeons while a mage boosts you to 60 is much less of a social interaction than being able to que up with other players of your level to run a dungeon and actually play the game.

Your proposed DF tool isn’t going to stop mage boosting and the TBC LFM tool isn’t going to prevent players of your level from grouping up to run a dungeon.
The only difference with what you’re proposing is that it requires no communication with other players.

You are spot on about the gate keeping. I just had a Druid deny me from joining in a group because I was demo instead of destro. I’m decked in t3 and got rejected to play my main through a non heroic beta dungeon. Absolutely disgusting…

Bring on the damn dungeon finder!

If I would have responded to this thread earlier I may have had a different opinion.

This “communication” youre referring to is just spamming lfg channel. How do you not understand that? That is the only difference between DF and no DF

so you can be randomly forced into a dungeon with that idiot instead of saying “i didnt want to be in that group anyway if the party leader is that dumb”?

I wouldn’t be whispering to get rejected in the first place and a gatekeeper probably wouldn’t be rolling heavy LFG anyway.
