Add dungeon finder to TBC classic

I’m for the LFG List but no Dungeon Finder.

Fixed it for you

Nothing social about spamming LFG chat. Also I never mentioned anything about cross server so try again.

You’re referring to raid finder which we are not talking about in this thread. Dungeon finder is the topic.

You haven’t disproved anything. You just said:

It’s not about spamming lfg (which will not be necessary with the TBC system anyway), it’s about having choices as far as the classes you’re taking, conversing with players about their spec and the type of run/s you’re planning, and also the need to organise getting to the dungeon which initiates conversation between the whole group.
As others have said, the added effort required to form the group also acts as an incentive to work with the group to finish the dungeon.

Funny you should mention choices. Because with dungeon finder you still have the choice to make your group and then run to the dungeon or que together after you’ve added the classes you are seeking.

I think Dungeon Finder would be great if you were limited to your own realm and you had to get to the instance. Meaning it only helped form the group. Really like the system for Mythics in retail. You form your own group and then have to fly there yourself.

That’s all you need.

It should be 100% your own realm, but even then as long as there is some kind of vote kick system maybe it’s ok. Most people that have issues with the current way either don’t know how to make friends with people to accomplish dungeons or are typically not very good and want a carry. I wouldn’t use it so it doesn’t bother me but I do think there needs to be something in place like a vote kick at least, maybe even some requirements to queue.

To be honest I would be happy with a system like that, however I would really prefer to be ported to the dungeons so that I don’t have to put my quests or farm on hold. Especially while leveling alts, it takes much longer to travel when you have to walk on foot.
Overall I think porting to dungeons would be optimal for all levels.

That’s pretty much what the TBC system does.

That’s what TBC will have. A group finder just like in retail that allows you to form and find groups manually.

I don’t know why but I cannot remember for the life of me. I remember a lot of spamming in trade chat but I am sure when I see it it will all come back.

Good. It’s already in TBC.

Are you aware of your previous posts at all…?

You’re really just attempting to derail the thread at this point. You have no argument against dungeon finder.

Your argument for dungeon finder is just convenience. The argument against it is it is not needed. There is no big reason to have it vs not have it so why bother adding in something like that. Your issue as you stated is that you want to farm and quest without any work what so ever. You are just lazy. That’s not an agreement for having dungeon finder.

It was the best iteration of the tool imo.

No not really if you read the original post but okay.

Ad hominem because you cant think of anything. Good job pal.

I actually do have an argument against it. You’re just trying to pretend for some strange reason that the social aspect doesn’t count.

No. You’re pretending that adding dungeon finder would somehow take away your choice of starting a group how you want to. It doesn’t. No matter how you choose to word it dungeon finder doesnt prevent you from doing anything. It only gives you an additional choice.

Sure I’ll give you a few.
It removes the feeling of world. If you just teleport everywhere then travel doesn’t matter, and the feeling of being a small person in a large world falls apart.
It removes the ability to have experiences out in the world, both positive and negative, while getting the group together and getting to the dungeon. You will not have as many social experiences while creating the group, you will not have those memorable situations of getting lost as a group while trying to find the dungeon (though less likely now that we know where everything is in the game), you have no chance of having random encounters (world pvp, helping out a random to kill something, etc.) all of these random encounters are an important part of the game, and help to make it feel more like an MMO and not a single player grind fest.
It leads to people just sitting in Orgrimmar spamming dungeons without ever leaving, making the world feel empty.
