People aren’t going to leave mega servers add cross realm to alleviate the problem. To all the no change babies we already have so many changes made to this game that its not the original and never will be.
They have and will continue to
No
That’s no reason to start making bad changes.
If megaserver players don’t wanna queue, they gotta transfer, or wait for the tourists to leave. Blizz has given the solution. Take it or leave it.
So how do you feel as a no change baby about horde on horde bgs wearing masks and alliance on alliance bgs wearing masks your point is irrelevant by those changes made already no changes isnt a tenable stance anymore get with the times.
It’s not the only answer. Cross realm is a solution to a problem, just like another hot-topic but remaining unnamed feature is a solution to another problem. However, Blizzard doesn’t have to solve the problem in the same way.
One thing I’d like to see is for Blizzard drastically lower the active player population cap on servers to something like 15k (or even 10k), but then allow players to transfer freely between realms on some reasonable cooldown (2 months?).
Let players self-organize and build their own communities, but give them the option to move on if the server they chose dies off.
I don’t like it.
No, MY point is the reality of the situation. YOUR point is never gonna happen. So it is in fact YOUR point that is irrelevant lol.
I don’t care about no changes. Cross realm is a stupid idea and not coming to Classic.
Get with reality
This isn’t a solution it hasn’t worked so far they all congregate to mega servers and the other servers die off cross realm is the only solultion to this.
I would say it’s about 50/50 Are there some people that will leave the Mega servers yes at some point although if I’m being as I could see somebody quitting before transferring because they don’t want to play the server roulette again.
But I want million percent agree Blizzard implement crossed server play This whole idea of oh it’s a community I am sorry but if you’re on a server with 30000 people you can’t have this neighborhood community that these people are picturing.
In fact I say add rfd Is endcross server arena battleground And auction house Even if it’s only for consumers and crafty materials And put in the retail auction house on top of that because the classic one is garbage.
And for those of you that say it’s not yeah OK how many of You are using an adon for it ?
As far as the argument but it will destroyed the community I am sorry But as I said before Unless you’re on a server of Maybe 2 to 3000 people You can’t have this neighborhood where everybody knows everybody community.
And most people aren’t gonna look at a sorrow with 3000 people and say oh I want to go play there no they’re going to look for the highest population servers if it’s not going to be benediction it’s going to be another one.
Wash rings repeat People are on their server especially if it’s A PVP server factor balances in good the less affection leaves the server Because they don’t want to get camped and they want to be able to play every other aspect of the game.
Everybody goes OK I want to go to the highest pop server because I have the best chance to get into groups and everything else So guess what Mega servers get formed again If it’s an endless cycle crossover play and sharding Are an actual solution not a Band-Aid.
Everything but pride understands this helps the mega server problem.
Its literally the only answer considering blizzard says they are at the “limit of technology” trying to support mega servers.
That’s actually not the solution Blizzard has given us. What they offered was paid transfers, so folks on dead servers naturally wanted to hedge their bets and chose to join an already populated server. This is how we got mega servers and massive queues. Now, Blizzard is asking people to accept a free transfer off the mega servers to avoid the queues with no guarantees that the server they transfer to won’t die off and they’ll just have to fork over transfer fees again to find people to play with.
If Blizzard removes the cost entirely and just let’s people go wherever, perhaps the problem will sort itself out. If your server is full, go somewhere else. If the server you landed on dies off, go somewhere else.
You lose a little of that Classic server community feel (because people can just jump around), but not playing at all is probably worse.
Anyway, I’m not saying that’s the best solution, but it is a solution. You said cross-realm play is the only answer, but it’s not, there are other options
Its funny how ashes of creation in alpha has better server infrastructure than world of warcraft classic.
I was going to write something too spicy for these forums, so I’ll just say this, cross realm is bad, there are no redeeming qualities. Mega realm players need to abandon the idea that a mega realm is required to play the game normally, it isn’t.
It feels like a hedging your bets thing that got outta hand with regards to player mentality, like anything “meta” these days.
The typical answer from someone who has 12hrs a day to play and waste while thinking BODY TYPE 2 human warriors are cool in 2022 lol
Are you getting paid to shill or are you just that ignorant?
Cross realm in the open world is pretty silly to do this early, but cross realm RDF definitely needs to be a thing asap and if you don’t think there are redeeming qualities then you might not be the brightest bulb
Blizzard should just have one big mega server with multiple layers
WotLK is far bigger than Retail. They need cross servers and a lot more servers to support the millions coming back to play the pinnacle of WoW.
You’re mad at something, but I’m not sure it’s me.
Ummmm I’m not shilling anything. I’m shilling for a good experience maybe?
No.
How are you shilling for a good experience when you want features removed that benefit everyone and hurt absolutely no one? I just don’t understand the logic of people like you, I guess that’s what happens when the person I’m talking to has a single digit IQ and can see the world in very strange ways.
